Composite antifriction material and its manufacturing method

FIELD: metallurgy.

SUBSTANCE: invention refers to antifriction materials. Composite antifriction material based on bronze-filled PTFE consists of tin and lead bronze, PTFE and ultradisperse diamonds at the following component ratio, wt %: PTFE 5-6; ultradisperse diamonds 0.065-0.187; the rest is tin and lead bronze. Method of material manufacturing involves preliminary mixing of PTFE and ultradisperse diamond powders. Then the mix is mixed with tin and lead bronze powder. Obtained three-component mix undergoes cold pressing at 8000-9000 kgf/cm2 followed by hot pressing at 355-400 °C and pressure of 4500-5500 kgf/cm2. Hot-pressed workpiece is cooled down to room temperature under the pressure of hot pressing.

EFFECT: enhanced mechanical strength and tribo-technical parameters of composite antifriction material.

FIELD: chemistry.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to polymer composite materials for tribotechnical purposes and can be used to make friction bearings, end seals and other friction assembly materials. The composite material is made of a modified polymer composition based on polytetrafluoroethylene using mechanically activated basalt fibre. Basalt fibre filler is first crushed using a Fritsch Pulverizette 15 cutting mill with a 0.25 mm sieve. The length of the crushed (chopped) fibres is 30-90 mcm and the diameter is 8-10 mcm. The chopped basalt fibre is mechanically activated in an AGO-2 planetary mill for 2 min. After mechanical activation, the average length of the fibres does not change significantly, but the diameter is reduced 1.5-2 times.

EFFECT: invention enables to obtain polymer composite materials with improved tribotechnical properties without complex operations and can be used to produce materials with improved tribotechnical properties without deterioration of physical and mechanical properties.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to production of wear-resistant material from modified polytetrafluoroethylene resin. The material is obtained by sufficiently mixing poly(phenyl-p-hydroxybenzoate) polymer, which is used as a modifier, with polytetrafluoroethylene resin in a certain weight ratio, followed by cold pressing and sintering or hot pressing and sintering.

EFFECT: wear-resistant material obtained from modified polytetrafluoroethylene resin has a very low mean wear coefficient.

The composite material comprises packed fluoroplast-4 powder with particle size of no more than 5 mcm, impregnated with binder. The binder used is epoxy resin with a curing agent. The epoxy resin is a product of condensation of epichlorohydrin and aniline in an alkaline medium, with viscosity of no more than 200 mPa·s, and the curing agent used has viscosity of no more than 40 mPa·s. Impregnation with binder is carried out under pressure and while evacuating the volume of the powder, followed by curing.

EFFECT: producing a dielectric material with low permittivity, low dielectric loss tangent and improved properties such as strength and modulus of elasticity in compression.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to chemical industry and concerns a method for producing an additive in the form of hard fibres, wherein the said additive is storage stable and based on the eco-friendly polyamide acid; the said additive in a salt state can be used for the production of composite materials and metal coatings. The method for polyamide acid salt production comprises forming a polyamide acid fibre cocoon by mixing 13.0-13.5 wt % polyamide acid solution in dimethylformamide with distilled water while stirring at the rate of 50 rev/min. The obtained cocoon is washed with distilled water, and separated into individual fibres to dry in the air and then at 120-130°C for 60 min in a cabinet drier, in a vacuum thermostat at 79-81°C and a pressure of 1 atm. to reduce dimethylformamide content down to 3.68 wt %, followed by dissolving the fibres in a mixture of N-methylpyrrolidone, monoethanolamine and water to obtain the said salt. A method for producing coatings based on fluoropolymers with polyamide acid salt or polyamide acid-based lacquer.is also disclosed.

EFFECT: storage stable polyamide acid in the form of fibres, improved quality of polyamide acid and composite materials based on fluoropolymers and polyamide acid, improved antiadhesive and antifriction coatings.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to polymer composite materials for tribotechnical purposes and can be used in mechanical engineering to produce components of friction assemblies, which provide a high frictional coefficient which is stable for a long period of time, primarily frictional components of winding mechanisms. The frictional material contains, wt %: crushed basalt fibre 2.0-10.0; tetrafluoroethylene and hexafluoropropylene copolymer and copolymer 2.0-12.0; metal filler 8.0-24.0 and polytetrafluoroethylene - the balance. The metal filler used is siliconised carbonyl iron and/or a chrome-nickel alloy. The material is made via mechanical mixing of the components. Articles are made by cold moulding at pressure of 50-60 MPa and then sintering the workpieces at 375±5°C. The time for holding the workpiece at said temperature is determined based on 5 min per 1 mm thickness of the article.

EFFECT: invention increases the value and stability of the frictional coefficient while maintaining high mechanical strength, wear resistance and heat resistance of the material.

An antifriction polymer composition is made from a composition containing polyoximethyleme and modifying additives in the form of a powder mixture and superhigh-molecular polyethylene with molecular weight 4,500,000 standard units and "Ф4К15М5" fluoroplast in the following proportions, wt %: polyoxymethylene 96, modifying additives 4. A polymer base is presented by polyoxymethylene with a min. melt fluidity of not less than 2 g/10 min. The modifying additives are introduced into the polymer base when mixing the ingredients in a paddle-wheel agitator to prepare a homogenous mixture with passing the composite through a granulating machine.

EFFECT: increased physical-mechanical characteristics of the material providing stability to side edge cracking when sockets are in use, oil-stability, atmospheric stability, high wear resistance and low friction coefficient.

Antifriction material includes carbon fabric from fibres with fixed size of crystals on basal plane and thickness of packet with fixed number of basal planes, soaked with composition of epoxy resin, metal powder of tin or tin babbitt with dispersity 5-100 mcm, molybdenum disulphide with dispersity 0.6-0.7 mcm, taken in ratio to metal powder 1:2. FIELD: chemistry.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to mechanical engineering and particularly to a polyamide-based composite polymer antifriction material used to make articles for different tribological purposes, e.g. friction bearings, and for making articles for the braking system of rail passenger or cargo transport. The polyamide-based composite polymer antifriction material contains fibre filler in the form of carbon fibre or a mixture of carbon fibre and glass fibre. The composite polymer antifriction material further contains randomly arranged carbon nanotubes in form of single-layer or multilayer, with 2-70 layers, or interleaved, rolled graphite planes with 2-70 layers. The external diameter of the carbon nanotubes ranges from 0.1 to 100 nm and their length ranges from 1 to 70 mcm. The polyamide of the base of the composite polymer antifriction material used is polyamide 6 or Caprolon V or Ertalon. Content of glass fibre in the mixture thereof with carbon fibre of the fibre filler of the composite polymer antifriction material ranges from 3.48 to 10.5 wt %, with the following quantitative content of components, wt %: carbon fibre or mixture of carbon fibre and glass fibre 9.7-42.4, carbon nanotubes 0.05-0.55, polyamide - the balance. The carbon fibre in the composite material is carbon fibre made from high-molecular weight hydrated cellulose fibre or from polyacrylonitrile fibre. The carbon fibre of the composite polymer antifriction material is used in form of bundles or chopped bundles or chopped tape, and the glass fibre is used in form of chopped threads. The length of the chopped bundles or tape of the carbon fibre and chopped threads of the glass fibre ranges from 1 mm to 48 mm. The technical result is longer service life of articles made from the disclosed polyamide-based composite polymer antifriction material, low intensity of linear wearing in case of friction on a polished steel pair made of steel 40X.

EFFECT: high stability of friction coefficient on counter-body material made of steel 40X, high stress at break, maintaining Charpy impact strength on samples without dent while maintaining a given ultimate compression strength and low friction coefficient.
