SUBSTANCE: invention relates is to large-size air cleaners of vehicle. Proposed air cleaner contains housing, separating holes arranged in housing in each of which flow swirler is fitted from side of input. Dust-collecting pan with dust suction branch pipe and cleaned air intake cones is connected to housing. Each intake cone is arranged from side of vertex with clearance inside output section of separating hole to form ring channel. Port with intersection of wall of separating hole is made near each separating hole from side of base. Housing is assembly of monoblocks rigidly connected to each other. Dust collecting pan consists of monoblocks. Monoblocks are hermetically connected by welding. Flow swirler is blade-type, with central bushing, and is secured on intake cone. Intake cone is provided with slots to pass cleaned air. Dust-collecting pan is connected to housing by studs and nuts. Intake cones are fastened to dust-collecting pan by welding (metal ones) or gluing (plastic ones). Monoblock can be assembled and rigidly interconnected on board by means of screw which are not shown in Drawing, or by any other method.

Method of engine operation consists in the fact that if value of condensate formation in charge air cooler (80) corresponds to calculated value, it is required to increase flow rate of inlet air passing through charge air cooler (80) by adjusting control valve (210) at inlet tank (206) inside charge air cooler (80). Valve (210) is used to direct inlet air only through partial volume of (216) charge air cooler (80). In this part of volume (216) and in the remaining part of volume there are inlet holes of cooling tubes (204) arranged in inlet tank (206) and connected with one inlet channel (208) for air. Versions of engine operating method are disclosed.

SUBSTANCE: air purifier contains an one-piece casing 1 and separational openings 2 located therein, in each of which a swirler of the polluted air flow 3 is placed on the inlet side, and a ring-shaped clamp 4 is provided at the outlet. A dust-collecting pallet 5 with a suction nozzle 6 and intake devices for a purified air 7 is connected to the casing 1. Each intake device for the purified air 7 is placed with a clearance inside the outlet section of the separational opening 2 that forms a circular duct 8 for the dust discharging into the dust-collecting pallet 5. The height of the air purifier is determined in accordance with the diameter of the separatinal opening 2 and with the outside diameter of the intake device for the cleaned air 7 in the area of the dust-collecting pallet 5 according to the formula Ha.p.=(2.55÷2.76)⋅(D+d), where Ha.p. - is the height of the air purifier, D - the diameter of the separational opening 2, and d - is the outer diameter of the intake device for purified air 7 in the area of the dust-collecting pallet 5. In this case, the ring-shaped clamp 4 placed at the outlet of each separational opening 2 is conjugated with the wall of the separational opening 2 with a cone-shaped surface 9 between the diameter of the separational opening 2 and the inner diameter of the ring-shaped clamp 4.

SUBSTANCE: air cleaner comprises a monoblock body 1 and separation holes 2 disposed therein, in each of which a swirler of the polluted air flow 3 is placed on the inlet side. A dust collection pallet 4 is connected to the body 1 with a dust suction nozzle 5 and clean air intake devices 6. Each receiving device for the cleaned air 6 is placed with a clearance inside the outlet part of the separation hole 2 to form an annular channel 7 for discharging dust into the dust collection pallet 4. The plane of beginning of purified air discharge channel 8 in the hole for receiving device for purified air 6 is combined with the place of optimum air purification in the separation hole 2, the location of which is determined by the formula.

Claimed method is intended for engine (10) including turbosupercharger with bypass flap and engine electronic controller (12) and includes the following operations. Driving force is created at vacuum tank (138) and applied by adjustment of electrical vacuum regulator. Said driving force is applied to actuate vacuum drive of said bypass flap. Vacuum drive of said bypass flap is connected with turbosupercharger bypass flap. The position of said turbosupercharger bypass flap is varied with the help of bypass flap drive connected therewith. Operating conditions of engine air intake filter (82) are tested by engine electronic controller (12) with respect to those of bypass flap vacuum drive tank. Operator is notified about deterioration of intake air filter (82) operating conditions. Besides, invention discloses the determination of engine air filter operating conditions and air intake filter diagnostics system.
