SUBSTANCE: traction control consists of strips that are made of durable rubber or frost-resistant polymer, reinforced with metal or plastic cord. The upper and lower strip surfaces are corrugated. Metal or plastic spikes are mounted in the lower part of strips. One of the edge portions of strips has an U-shaped recess.

SUBSTANCE: invention can be used for very large vehicles with diameters of tires exceeding 3.05 m, such as quarry dump trucks using tires with detachable tread. Tread band is transported separately from tire carcass in state compressed from two opposite sides. Replacement of tread on tire is carried out at follows: first pressure in tire carcass is partially reduced, at least part of first tread band is removed from side of front part of tire carcass, then tire carcass is rolled forward with application of side force to tread band in direction of removal, until tire carcass has rolled out of first band and lied on carrying surface, then the rest parts of first tread band are removed from tire carcass in side direction. Second tread band is fitted on as follows: firstly part of second tread band is shifted to front part of tire carcass, then tire carcass is rolled forward at application of side force to second tread band.

EFFECT: facilitated transportation and replacement of large pneumatic tires.
