Carpet unit comprises a carpet or a carpet tile, wherein carpet unit comprises a user face, formed by carpet tuft yarns, and an opposite back face. Seen in a direction from user face to back face, light source is arranged behind user face of carpet unit. Light source is further arranged to provide light downstream of user face of carpet unit.

EFFECT: carpet unit is an axminster-based carpet unit, comprising wefts, warps and said tuft yarns.
