SUBSTANCE: capsule comprising a dose of the substance (2) for preparing a beverage, comprises a cup-shaped main body (6) forming the accommodating chamber (7) for the substance (2). The main body enables the water and the beverage to flow through it only after it is broken or pierced by the piercing means. The main body (6) comprises a lower wall (8) forming the bottom of the bowl, and a side wall (9) extending from its lower part (10) connected to the lower wall (8) to the upper part (11), limiting the opening (12) for access to the accommodating chamber (7), the coving element (17) rigidly attached to the upper part (11) of the side wall (9) for closing the opening (12) of access. The capsule comprises extending means (18), which after the increase of the internal pressure in the capsule (1) allows the movement of the lower part (10) of the side wall (9) and a lower wall (8) connected to it from the covering element (17).

This invention relates to a capsule containing a dose of a substance for preparing a beverage and a method of preparing a beverage using a capsule. Depending on the requirements of the substance may be a powder or liquid. In particular, the present invention is used for preparing coffee or other beverages containing coffee (e.g. cappuccino) using capsules 1 capsule (this type usually contain a powdery substance). So here is a link to this preferred type of beverage. In any case, the invention can also be used to brew any beverage of your choice using capsules 1.

In addition, if contained in a capsule, the substance is a powder, the present invention can likewise be used for the preparation of beverages using the method of brewing powder using high pressure hot water and/or steam, as well as the preparation of beverages by dissolving a powdery substance with water and/or steam.

Currently in the prior art many types of capsules 1, and devices for the preparation of beverages and, in particular, coffee.

The first type of prior art capsule is relatively rigid, and at the time of preparation of the drink it needs to be in advance protykin at two points, providing�toplana of water and/or steam on one side and the exit of the drink from the other side.

The main disadvantage of this solution is that it is impossible to make a drink at a relatively high pressure that is required, for example, in the preparation of espresso coffee.

The technical level of the second type, described for example in EP 078 468 and EP 507 905, on the contrary, the capsule is initially protykin only from its front side, through which water and/or steam is fed under pressure into the capsule. Only at a later stage, when the internal pressure reaches a predetermined level, the bottom of the capsule is deformed and pierced in contact with the outer stationary contact elements arranged at a predetermined distance from the bottom of the capsule. The remainder of the capsule remains unchanged. In particular, in the case of EP 507 905, when the bottom is deformed, it switches from concave shape (when viewed from the outside) to flat or even convex. On the contrary, in the case of EP 468 078 the bottom initially has a substantially flat shape, when the pressure it adopts a convex shape.

Under the third type of prior art, described for example in U.S. patent 4136202, the capsule has weakened the front side, adapted to rupture when the internal pressure. Accordingly, in this case, the activity is similar to that just described, except that the capsule bursts, and not pierced about one or more �hospital thorns.

However, the second and third types of prior art are not without drawbacks, as 1 capsules coffee usually contain a filter adapted for holding the ground coffee, while ensuring the exit of the drink. The filter is usually located near the capsule wall, through which extends the drink. Accordingly, all the ways of using the capsule, providing the deformation of this wall may cause displacement and/or accidental damage to the filter, which may jeopardize the proper conservation of the coffee powder.

A significant additional problem in commercial terms is the fact that it is impossible to have one type of capsule, which, without distinction, could be used on machines, designed according to a different operating logic. In particular, there is a need for the possibility of using one type of capsule as in machines in which a delayed opening is achieved by rupture of the capsule wall, and in machines in which, on the contrary, it is achieved as a result of rupture of the wall about one or more stationary piercing thorns. However, this is essentially impossible with capsules 1 tier equipment.

In this context, the technical task constituting the basis of the invention is to provide a capsule containing a dose of a substance for preparation on�Jitka, to overcome the aforementioned disadvantages.

In particular, the technical purpose of this invention is to provide a capsule containing a dose of a substance for preparing a beverage, is not subject to risks of accidental displacement of the filter due to the deformation of its wall, through which extends the drink.

The technical objective of this invention is the creation of a capsule containing a dose of a substance for preparing a beverage, which can be used in machines of various types.

Prescribed technical task and the indicated aims, essentially, achieved by using capsules containing a dose of a substance for preparing a beverage, as described in the appended claims.

Further features and advantages of this invention will become clearer from the detailed description of a few preferred non-restrictive embodiments of a capsule containing a dose of a substance for preparing a beverage, the method of preparing a beverage using a capsule depicted in the accompanying drawings, in which:

As can be seen from the accompanying drawings, the reference position 1 indicates overall a capsule containing a dose of a substance 2 (powder or liquid) to make the drink, made according to the present invention.

Fig. 1-3 shows a typical capsules 1 prior art t�ex types, intended only to illustrate the three possible different internal structures of the capsule, which similarly can be applied even in the capsule 1 according to the present invention.

Depending on requirements, a capsule can contain only substance 2 (typically, in situations in which the substance is liquid or 2 for the formation of soluble beverage - Fig. 3), or one or more hard filter 4 (Fig. 1) and/or one or more flexible membrane filters 5 (Fig.2).

It should be noted that, although Fig. 3-9 shows a capsule 1 without internal filters, they can be made with one or more internal filters of any type (as in the case of Fig. 10 and 11, where the capsule 1 is equipped with hard filters 4). On the other hand, Fig. 12 and 13, the capsule 1 is also shown for clarity without substance 2.

In a known manner, the capsule 1 according to the invention preferably comprises a bowl-shaped main body 6 forming the accommodating chamber 7 containing the dose of the substance 2, used to make the drink. It is preferable that the main body 6 is made of semi-rigid material such as plastic or aluminum.

In turn, the main body 6 includes a bottom wall 8, forming the bottom of the bowl, and a side wall 9 extending from its lower portion 10 connected to the bottom wall until its top portion 11, a limiting hole 12 for access to the containing chamber 7.

As can be seen in greater detail, in the illustrated embodiments, it is possible to identify four different sites of the main housing 6. In particular, top is (according to the orientation of the capsule 1 in the drawings) of the first section 13 which is a flat ring (horizontal in the accompanying drawings), continuing radially relative to the Central axis of the capsule 1. Bottom, a substantially flat second section 14 continues in parallel to the first section 13. With the second section 14 is connected to the third section 15, which, despite the fact that the capsule 1 is cylindrically symmetric, has the shape of a truncated cone.

Having the largest length and are described in more detail below, the fourth area 16 is located between the first section 13 and the third section 15.

It should be noted that for the purposes of this invention the above-mentioned third plot 15 may similarly be considered as part of the lower portion 10 of the side wall 9, or a portion of the lower wall 8. On the contrary, the first section 13 may be considered as part of the top portion 11 of the side wall 9. It is the first section 13 forms an access hole 12.

However, in other embodiments, both the side wall 9 and the lower CTE�ka 8 may take any other form, while remaining within the scope of this invention.

The capsule 1 comprises a covering element 17 is rigidly attached to the upper section 11 of the side wall 9 (and, in particular, to the first section 13 of the accompanying drawings) designed for tight closure of the access opening 12 for the purpose of preservation of the organoleptic properties of the substance 2.

It is preferable that the covering element 17 is a sheet of flexible material, for example plastic or aluminum. He may or may not have weakened points (of known type and therefore not shown).

According to the present invention, the capsule 1 comprises extension means 18, which, due to the increase of the internal pressure in the capsule 1 moves from the covering element 17 of the lower portion 10 of the side wall 9 and connected to it the lower wall 8.

Fig. 3-11 shows the four different variants of implementation, in which the extension means 18 is invariably an integral part of the fourth area 16 of the main body 6, as described above. In other embodiments, it may be otherwise.

Preferably, the extension means 18 is made so that the aforementioned movement due to increased internal pressure in the capsule 1 at least up to a predetermined value. In preferred�Uo embodiment of the coffee espresso in particular, the extension means 18 provides movement of the lower portion 10 of the side wall 9 and connected to it the lower wall 8, in excess of the internal pressure of the capsule 1 the given value, which ranges from 1 to 15 bar.

In preferred embodiments, the extension means 18 is a contoured plot of the lateral wall 9. In particular, this shaped section is preferably designed in such a way that as a result of increasing internal pressure it can elastically and/or plastically deformed from the initial undeformed position to a deformed position in which the lower portion 10 and the bottom wall 8 are further away from the covering element 17 than shaped plot in the initial position.

It is preferable that this effect can be achieved by implementation of shaped plot that it forms at least one concavity 19 and/or one bulge 20 relative to the rest of the side wall 9.

Fig. 4, 6, 8, 10 shows four possible different embodiment of the capsule 1 (whose main body 6 a cylindrically symmetric), in which the extension tool 1 created using the concave/convex sections having different shapes. In particular, when considering the cross section of the shaped sections can have an arched profile (prima�but semicircular or paleoliticheskie), gear profile, etc.

Overall, to ensure a more uniform elongation of the capsule 1 of the extension means 18 preferably continues along the perimeter of the side wall 9 of the main body 6.

Fig. 12 and 13 is shown made according to the invention the first system of preparation of the drink, which used the possibility of elongation of the capsule 1.

The system consists of 1 capsules of the above type and the device containing, in turn, extraction node 21 that can be opened, the internal node forms part of the extraction chamber 22, into which you can insert the capsule 1. The accompanying drawings show only the extraction node 21 and its contents.

In the schematically illustrated embodiment of the node 21, which can have both horizontal and vertical, or inclined axis, contains the stationary part 23, mainly forming the extraction chamber 22 and a movable portion 24 that can be opened (in known manner) and which functions as a cover.

When the capsule 1 is inserted in the node 21, the first annular portion 13 of the capsule is preferably clamped between the stationary part 23 and the movable part 24, while the lower portion 10 of the side wall 9 and the bottom wall 8 is sufficiently removed from the node 21 to ensure the elongation of the capsule 1.

The extraction site 21 St�are first pierced means 24 and the second pierced means 25.

The first pierced means 24 is installed in an extraction chamber 22 in such a manner as to pierce the covering element 17 of the capsule 1 is inserted into the extraction chamber 22 when the node 21 is closed. In the accompanying drawings, they are attached to the movable part 24.

The second pierced means 25 is installed in the extraction chamber 22 for piercing the lower wall 8 of the capsule 1 is inserted into the extraction chamber 22, to provide for delivery of the beverage. However, in particular, the second pierced means 25 are arranged so that when the capsule 1 is inserted in the extraction chamber 22, they are insufficiently embedded in the bottom wall 8 for the issuance of the drink. In the illustrated embodiment, the implementation of this is due to the fact that in the initial position of the capsule 1 has a certain distance between the bottom wall 8 and the second pierced means 25. However, in other embodiments, it may happen that when the capsule 1 in the initial position, the second pierced means 25 are in contact with the bottom wall 8 or even partially embedded in it.

At the same time, the second pierced means 25 are arranged so that they are fully embedded in the bottom wall 8 and therefore allow the issuance of the drink, when the capsule 1 is in a deformed state.

For this purpose, funds are available under 26�Chi hot water and/or steam into the capsule 1, which are operatively connected to first pierced means 24 (the accompanying schematic drawings, they are shown with a channel passing through the movable part 24 and the first pierced 24 funds).

In practice, hot water and/or steam submitted means 26 in the capsule 1, leads to an increase of the internal pressure with the subsequent moving of the lower wall 8 of the covering element 17 occurring up until the bottom wall will not be broken by the second pierced means 25. At this point, the beverage can leave the capsule 1 and then from node 21 through the outlet 27.

Finally, the present invention also relates to a method for preparing a beverage using a capsule 1 of the above type, which includes stages of piercing the covering element 17, the supply of water and/or steam into the capsule 1 through the pierced cover element 17 to increase the internal pressure of the capsule 1 at least up to a predetermined value sufficient to cause the lower portion 10 of the side wall 9 and lower wall 8 of the covering element 17 and thus to cause the rupture of the lower wall 8 of the outer pierced means the issuance of the beverage through the bottom wall 8.

However, as already indicated, the capsule 1 according to the invention can also be used with the method of preparation of the drink, unlike traditional metal�means, which include the piercing of the lower wall 8 (particularly preferably, if the lower wall 8 is relatively rigid and flat, as in the illustrated embodiments), followed by hot water and/or steam into the chamber through the bottom wall 8 with the aim of increasing the internal pressure of the capsule 1 to until the covering element is not broken (which is facilitated by the presence in the covering element 17 is weakened points).

The latter function is facilitated if the covering element 17 made of a material with less resistance to rupture than the main body 6.

The present invention provides important advantages.

Thanks to this invention, on the one hand, it was possible the creation of the capsule, providing a delayed opening of the bottom, which is achieved without exposure of the bottom deformation, which may degrade the stability of the internal filter.

Capsules made according to the invention can also be used in devices in which hot water and/or steam is fed through a covering element with a delay of the issuance of the beverage through the bottom wall, and in devices in which hot water and/or steam is fed through the bottom wall of the delayed issuance of the beverage through the covering element.

Finally, it should be noted that the present invention is relatively easy to implement and even �the costs associated with the implementation of the invention, not very high. The main body of the capsule may be preferably obtained by moulding or thermoforming.

The above-described invention can be modified and adapted in various ways within the spirit of the invention.

In addition, all the details of the invention can be replaced with other technically equivalent elements and the materials used, the shape and dimensions of the various components may vary according to requirements.

1. Capsule, including the dose of the substance (2) for preparing a beverage, comprising:
Cup-shaped main body (6) forming the accommodating chamber (7) containing the substance (2), wherein the main body allows the water and the beverage to flow through it only once it is torn or pierced pierced means, wherein the main body (6) in turn contains a bottom wall (8), forming the bottom of the bowl, and a side wall (9), extending from its lower portion (10) connected to a bottom wall (8), to the upper portion (11) limiting the opening (12) to access the accommodating chamber (7),
covering element (17) is rigidly attached to the upper portion (11) of the side wall (9) for closing the openings (12) access,
characterized in that
it contains a lengthening agent (18) that after increasing the internal d�effect in the capsule (1) allows movement of the lower portion (10) of the side wall (9) and connected to it the lower wall (8) of the covering element (17).

2. Capsule according to claim 1, characterized in that the extension means (18) provides the said movement after raising the internal pressure in the capsule (1) at least up to the specified value.

3. Capsule according to claim 1, characterized in that the extension means (18) is formed shaped section of the side wall (9).

4. Capsule according to claim 3, characterized in that as a result of increasing internal pressure of the moulded part can be elastically and/or plastically deformed from an initial position to a deformed position in which the lower portion (10) and bottom wall (8) are further away from the covering element (17) than the shaped section in the initial position.

5. Capsule according to claim 4, characterized in that the shaped section forming at least one concavity (19) and/or one bulge (20) relative to the rest of the side wall (9).

6. Capsule according to claim 2, characterized in that the extension means (18) is formed shaped section of the side wall (9).

7. Capsule according to claim 6, characterized in that as a result of increasing internal pressure of the moulded part can be elastically and/or plastically deformed from an initial position to a deformed position in which the lower portion (10) and bottom wall (8) are further away from the covering element (17) than the shaped section in the initial position.

8. Capsule according to claim 7, wherein the�, what shaped section forming at least one concavity (19) and/or one bulge (20) relative to the rest of the side wall (9).

9. Capsule according to any one of claims. 1-8, characterized in that the extension means (18) continues perimetrically on the side wall (9) of the main body.

10. Capsule according to claim 9, characterized in that the extension means (18) provides the movement of the lower portion (10) of the side wall (9) and connected to it the lower wall (8) when the internal pressure of the capsule (1) exceeds the limit value of from 1 bar to 15 bar.

11. Capsule according to any one of claims. 1-8, characterized in that the extension means (18) provides the movement of the lower portion (10) of the side wall (9) and connected to it the lower wall (8) when the internal pressure of the capsule (1) exceeds the limit value of from 1 bar to 15 bar.

12. System for preparing a beverage containing a capsule (1) according to any one of claims. 1-11 and the device that in turn contains:
extraction unit (21) that can be opened, the interior of this node forms an extraction chamber (22) into which can be inserted into the capsule (1)
the first pierced means (24) mounted in an extraction chamber (22) in such a way that they poke through the covering element (17) of the capsule (1) inserted into the extraction chamber (22) when node(21) is closed,
(2 6) for feeding water and/or steam into the capsule (1), with means of filing operatively associated with the first pierced with a means (24),
the second pierced the means (25) mounted in an extraction chamber (22) for piercing the lower wall (8) of the capsule (1) inserted into the extraction chamber (22), and ensuring the delivery of the beverage,
with the latter pierced means (25) are arranged so that when the capsule (1) inserted in an extraction chamber (22), they are insufficiently embedded in the bottom wall (8) to allow the issuance of the drink, and fully embedded in the bottom wall (8) and allow the issuance of a drink after the increase of the internal pressure and the consequent displacement of the lower wall (8) of the covering element (17).

13. A method of preparing a beverage using a capsule (1) according to any one of claims. 1-11, which includes stages:
piercing the covering element (17);
water and/or steam through the covering element (17) in the capsule (1);
increasing the internal pressure in the capsule (1) at least up to a predetermined value to cause movement of the lower portion (10) of the side wall (9) and lower wall (8) of the covering element (17),
causing subsequent rupture of the lower wall (8) outer pierced means the issuance of the beverage through the bottom wall (8).
