Shipboard icebreaking device

FIELD: transport.

SUBSTANCE: shipboard icebreaking device is proposed which device contains axe pivotally mounted on horizontal axis in fore bottom vessel part so that while the ship is underway the axe is under ice and directed forward. The axe is forced into vibration using vertical shaft windlass with bell crank mounted on its upper flange which bell crank transmits motion to axe by means of chain pivotally connected with the bell crank and passed through block installed on lever at fore end near stempost. The chain is attached to the axe. Herewith, the chain is additional icebreaking element as saw because it performs reciprocating movement. To adjust initial height of the axe depending on ice cover thickness and draft the lever with block and hydraulic actuator, as well as turnbuckle mounted between chain links are provided. Axe can be fixed in upper nonoperational position.

EFFECT: simplified design, improved reliability and efficiency of shipboard icebreaking device.

The invention relates to shipbuilding and relates to the increase of the ice patency of ice class vessels and icebreakers. It is known that ice class vessels are characterized by the ability to work at sea, depending on the severity of ice conditions and are classified by the Russian Maritime register of shipping into classes - from Ice 1 to Icebreacer 9. The ship's ice-breaking device proposed to be installed on ships of various purposes ice classes Ice 1 to Arc 6, and the class icebreakers Icebreacer 6. The use of icebreaking ship the device on courts higher ice class irrational, because when you work having a large load on splitting the body and do not provide sufficient efficiency of the device for movement of the vessel in ice.

Known devices and systems that are installed on icebreakers and ice class vessels, which increases their ice permeability. For example, icebreaking vessels (see auth. St. USSR №217222, CL B63B, 1965, ed. St. 743912, CL B63B 35/08, 1976), and a device for breaking the ice (see auth. St. No. 675132, CL. B36B 35/08, 1977, U.S. patent No. 3, 340 698 CL. VV 35/08, 1972).

However, these copyright certificates and U.S. patent No. 3 698 340 of the device for breaking the ice ahead of the vessel complex, cumbersome and require significant energy costs.

The most economical device for breaking the ice on ships icefirst class this percussion device type, see "the Destruction of ice. Methods, equipment", L. Gidrometeoizdat, 1983, p. 14, where it is marked, "Analysis of existing schemes of destruction of ice has led to the need to develop shock method as very promising."

On page 13, Fig. 1.4(b) this publication provides ice-breaking device for breaking the ice, showing the principle of operation of the system for icebreaking vessels for U.S. patent No. 3, 340 698, which is taken as a prototype.

The device operates as follows. During the movement of the vessel in ice conditions on a solid or thin ice at work includes pneumatic hammer that shatters the ice in front of the bow end of the vessel. The hydraulic hammer blows on the lower surface of the ice accompanied by water hammer with the rapid swing of the hammer, which increases the force of impact.

The disadvantages of this device are the design complexity and low reliability of serviceability due to the need for precise adjustment for work and for providing hydraulic shock.

The present invention aims to eliminate these shortcomings by simplifying shock devices and increased efficiency by introducing into the device additional ways of breaking the ice.

The invention consists in the fact that to assure operation of the ship icebreaking devices used anchor-mooring capstan of a ship, through which the chain passed through the unit, the swing of the axe strikes the lower surface of the ice ahead of the vessel. An additional effect of the ice-breaker device is achieved in that the circuit, making a reciprocating motion is saw. When you step on the ice with the included ice-breaking device splitting ice is made by cleaver, occasionally swatting at the bottom surface of the ice. The chain contributes to the splintering of ice, as nudelive its reciprocating movements. Improving the efficiency of nadpisywania ice is achieved by connecting to the circuit of high frequency elastic waves from the ultrasonic generator.

The technical result of the invention is to simplify and increase the reliability of icebreaking devices through the use of a ship's anchor-mooring spire and use simple impactor - cleaver. Improving the efficiency of the ice-breaker device is also achieved by sawing ice circuit simultaneously with the shock on the lower surface of the ice and increased cutting ability of the chain due to the application thereto of high frequency elastic waves from the ultrasonic generator.

The invention can be used on ships with ice class for different purposes and on icebreakers. At the same time on the court nose portion of the housing may have a traditional ice-breaking lines with slanted towards the nose of the icebreaking bow and contours with a nasal Bulba.

The invention is illustrated in the drawings.

Fig. 6. The ship's ice-breaking device for a vessel with a nasal Bulba. Side view.

Fig. 7. The ship's ice-breaking device for a vessel with a nasal Bulba when the course without ice. Side view.

Fig. 1 - Fig. 5 shows icebreaking ship the device to ship with traditional contours.

The ship's ice-breaking device consists of anchor mooring capstan 1 is secured to the top of turecki crank 2, chain 3, pivotally secured at one end to the crank 2, and the other end secured to the splitter 4. Splitter 4 is shaped and secured to the bow of the vessel body 5 via the shaft 6 (see Fig. 1 and Fig. 4). On Board with nose Bulba 7 splitter 4 is fixed on the anterior part of the nasal Bulba 7, as shown in Fig. 6 and Fig. 7.

To adjust the initial height of the splitter installed coils the thickness of the ice cover and precipitation vessel, provides a lever 8 and a block 9 and the hydraulic actuator 10. Hydraulic system for operation and control of a hydraulic actuator not shown. The lever 8 pivotally secured its aft part of the vessel housing 5 by means of an arm 11. For further adjustment of the initial height of the splitter 5, set depending on the thickness of the ice and draught of the vessel, is provided for the lanyard 12 is mounted between the chain links 3.

To improve the efficiency of cutting ice with the chain in the ship's ice-breaking device is equipped with an ultrasonic generator operating at frequencies from 18 to 22 kHz, as it is known, that the imposition on the cutting tool of high-frequency elastic vibrations enhances the effect of cut in 1,5-2 times.

Fig. 1 and Fig. 6 shows a piezoceramic transducer with a hub 13 that is attached to the lanyard 12.

Fig. 3 - Fig. 5 and Fig. 7 piezoceramic transducer with a hub 13 is not shown.

The lever 8 and a block 9 and the hydraulic actuator 10 is to lift the log splitter 4 to the upper position in the case when the ship is without the presence of ice conditions (see Fig. 4 and Fig. 7).

To secure the splitter 4 in the upper position provides a chain stopper with lanyard 14. Pinning splitter 4 through the chain stopper with lanyard 14 allows you to remove a chain 3 with crank 2 and lay on the deck. This enables the use Corno-mooring spire directly for anchoring and mooring operations.

Fig. 4, Fig. 5 and Fig. 7 is not shown, the circuit 3, taken from the crank 2 and stacked on deck.

Fig. 1, Fig. 3 and Fig. 6 is not shown, the chain stopper with lanyard 14.

The ship's ice-breaking device operates as follows. At the approach to thin or solid ice field device is installed as shown in Fig. 1 and Fig. 6. Hydraulically 10 and lanyard 12 determines the position of the splitter 4 so that during passage of the crank 2 cormosea line B (see Fig. 3) upon rotation of turecki anchor mooring capstan 1 was a shot of the chopper 4 on the lower surface of the ice, and efforts in the circuit 3 does not exceed the permissible tractive force of turecki.

A device for monitoring efforts in the circuit 3 and control system ship's ice-breaking device in the drawings conventionally not shown.

Then turn on the ultrasonic generator, anchor mooring capstan 1 and given little forward of the vessel. The chain 3 with the reciprocating movement in the area of ice saws, and ultrasonic elastic vibrations from the piezoelectric transducer to the hub 13 enhance the effect of the cutting. Simultaneously, produces periodic strikes of cleaver 4 on the lower surface of the ice. Fig. 1 and Fig. 6 shows the log splitter 4 in extreme positions when it fluctuations.

As a result of icebreaking ship the device the ship has a high permeability in the ice due to regular blows of a mallet on the bottom surface of the ice in front of the nose of the ship and the simultaneous nadpisywania ice with the chain, driving the mallet.

During the course of the vessel in the absence of ice splitter 4 is raised to the upper position by a lever 8 and a block 9 and the hydraulic actuator 10, as shown in Fig. 4 and Fig. 7, and is secured using a chain stopper with lanyard 14.
