The present invention relates to the use of granulated Nickel slag as an aquarium soil.

For aquarium soil is of paramount importance. It is in the soil there are all the basic biochemical processes that determine the biological equilibrium of the ecosystem. In addition, the primer is designed to provide a natural bottom for fish world and is an important part of the decoration of the aquarium.

When choosing soil should consider the following factors:

Impact on water. Many materials used as soil, contain substances that increase the water hardness and pH. In addition, some soils have a negative impact on the physical and chemical properties of water, which is unacceptable for many inhabitants of the aquarium.

Color. In most cases, the soil at the bottom of natural ponds or dark, if he is bright, covered with a layer of leaves or silt, creating a dark effect. Therefore, in order to mask the fish the dark soil is preferable than light. In addition, the color of fish and plants on a dark background becomes brighter and more colorful.

Structure. The soil should be rough and should not have sharp edges, as this could injure the fish, wont to stir or sift the soil, to lie on it or burrow into it.

Size. DI different fish and different conditions, the size of soil particles can be varied, but, more importantly, the soil must be leggopoker for horizontal and vertical flow of water between the constituent particles must be large enough to ensure good water exchange. For this the soil should be uniform in size, thus, the optimal fractions are as follows: 2-4 mm, 4-6 mm, 6-8 mm.

Famous examples of usage as an aquarium soil, sand, pebbles, gravel, and other particles of granite [Journal of "a Million Friends" No. 3, 2000 the Author - Vyacheslav Yudakov].

Famous examples of usage as an aquarium artificial soil materials, such as expanded clay, glass balls, glass run-crumbs, small pieces of plastic, etc. [Journal of "a Million Friends", No. 4, 2000 the Author - Vyacheslav Yudakov].

As a prototype adopted the use of expanded clay, containing a considerable amount of silicon oxide, as an aquarium primer [Journal of "a Million Friends", No. 4, 2000 the Author - Vyacheslav Yudakov].

The disadvantages of all types of existing aquarium soil is that none of them at the same time does not provide basic consumer properties. The quickly become caked sand, pebbles can damage the roots of plants and bottom fish, ground glass is inert, concrete over time can collapse and form of pinopodesth residue, and its highly porous surface absorbs organic pollution, which gradually rot.

The object of the present invention is to expand the Arsenal of aquarium soil superior quality.

The problem is solved in that the proposed application of granulated Nickel slag as an aquarium soil.

Nickel slag is typically of silicon oxide, iron oxide, calcium oxide, aluminum oxide, manganese oxide, chromium oxide, Nickel oxide, oxides of alkaline metals (potassium oxide, sodium oxide) and related oxides of metals (magnesium oxide, titanium oxide, zinc oxide, etc.) in the following ratio of components, wt.%:

Cr2O30.2 to 1.0
Alkaline oxides 0,2-3,5
Oxides related20-30

Nickel slag produced in the process of production of Nickel from ore, such as sulfide or copper-Nickel: nickeline (red Nickel pyrites, Kies-copper Nickel), chloanthite (black Nickel pyrites), garnierite and other silicates, magnetic pyrite, pentlandite. Then the molten Nickel slag is granulated by rapid cooling, turning it into a glassy state with the use of water jets of high pressure. Damping prevents the crystallization of minerals in the composition of the Nickel slag, and contributes to the formation of glassy aggregates in the form of granules. The content of the glassy phase is 85-98%. Granulated Nickel slag resistant silicate and iron disintegration, does not react with oxides of alkali metals, despite the presence of amorphous SiO2. Further granulated Nickel slag was sieved, washed and dried. After the processing of granulated Nickel slag is ready for use as an aquarium soil without the risk of turbidity, the appearance of fine suspended matter or sediment. Therefore, the consumer prior to use does not occur neobhodimosti further processing of the inventive aquarium soil.

Granulated Nickel slag refers to the fifth class of hazard for the environment in accordance with the order of the Ministry of natural resources of the Russian Federation from 15.06.2001, No. 511, therefore, it is absolutely harmless to water, soil and organisms living in the aquarium.

The presence in the composition of the granulated Nickel slag elements such as aluminum, manganese, chromium and Nickel causes the antiseptic properties of the inventive aquarium soil and, therefore, provides the ability to prevent the growth of fungi and bacteria.

Declare aquarium soil is a particle size of from 0.5 to 6 mm deep black. Such external characteristics of the proposed aquarium soils are similar to soils in natural waters.

The invention is characterized by the following specific examples.

Example 1 (preparation of aquarium soil of granulated Nickel slag).

Declare aquarium soil of granulated Nickel slag is obtained as follows. Supplied with dump trucks raw slag is separated from large foreign inclusions by sifting through the grate, then loaded into the storage bin with a capacity of 25 tons and belt conveyor (TC 500×16000) raw material enters the NACentrance hopper and vibratory feeder is moved in furnace-drying unit. Heating the air in the unit to 90°C is block burner (GBL-3.5 with a natural gas flow 380 m3/h) through the heat exchanger. The movement of raw materials during the drying process is carried out vibration. In furnace-drying unit drying the raw material. Dust collection system with cyclone unit SCN-40 (2 to 4) and an exhaust fan efficiently dispose of dust particles and takes away from the slag remaining debris without the risk of environmental pollution. After drying and dedusting on slide raw hits vibriocidal, where in the process of vibration with the fan it is cooled. The slide and belt transports the (LH-250) dried and cooled material is conveyed into the storage bin, where after the accumulation through the vibrating feeder is served on three-tiered inertial rumble (GIL-43 capacity of 70 t/h) for the classification of particle fractions from 0.5 to 6.0 mm. the Main faction of the raw materials of 0,5-2,0 mm 2,0-4,0 mm 4,0-6,0 mm fall into the storage bin. Large dry material (more than 6.0 mm) with rumble by conveyor belt (TC 500×4200) coarse material is directed through the storage hopper with vibratory feeder crushing and grinding machine (dim-In-800). From the storage hopper the material is fed into paskovich (XSD2610), where the leaching of microparti and impurities from Bratanova material. From pascovici material in small batches (up to 20 kg) is moved into a drying chamber where it is heated to 100-120°C and isothermal exposure for 2-3 hours until complete drying of the material with subsequent cooling. In the cooling process, in the drying chamber to initiate further action on the material of the UV radiation, with the aim of complete removal of bacteria and microorganisms which may have a negative impact on the microflora of the aquarium. After that packing of the material obtained. Washed and re-dried powder is fed to the packing and weighing equipment, weighed and Packed into containers.
