AREA of TECHNOLOGY

The invention relates to an absorbent product such as a personal hygienic pads for the treatment of menstrual blood, incontinence of urine and other liquid secretions of the body.

The LEVEL of TECHNOLOGY

A product such as a sanitary pad, strip to panties and a pad for incontinence of urine (hereinafter referred to as "absorbent product"), which absorbs and holds liquid secretion of the body released from the user's body, is widely known in the field of personal hygiene. Such absorbent product typically includes top sheet, bottom sheet and an absorbent core located between the top sheet and bottom sheet. The top sheet is made permeable to the fluid to allow the body fluids to penetrate to the absorbent core to hold the liquid secretions of the body, while the bottom sheet is made impermeable to prevent leakage of liquid secretions of the body and pollutants from the skin of the user or underwear.

For example, the absorbent articles of the prior art, Fig.1 shows the absorbent article described in the Published international application no WO 1997/001998. Fig.2 is a view in cross section taken along the line II-II of Fig.1. Referring to Fig.1 and 2, the absorbent product 50 includes a cover 52, an insulating layer 54, primary medical carth absorbent element 56 and a secondary absorbent element 58. The coating 52 is permeable to liquids and is located in contact with the user's body. Insulating layer 54 is impermeable to liquid and is attached to the undergarment of the user. The primary absorbent element 56 serves for the absorption of bodily fluids through the coating 52. The secondary absorbent element 58 is formed with a hole 60 through which the area of the primary absorbent element 56 is open.

However, in the absorbent article 50 of the prior art, shown in Fig.1 and 2, the secondary absorbent element 58 includes a non-absorbent polymeric composition 50-95% and, thus, the secondary absorbent element 58 has little effect on the distribution of the liquid secretions of the body. That is, the velocity distribution of the secondary absorbent element 58 is relatively low. Thus, despite the fact that the aperture 60 is of sufficient capacity to hold large quantities of liquid secretions of the body in a short period of time, the liquid body is temporarily held in the secondary absorbent element 58 cannot be immediately absorbed by the primary and secondary absorbent elements 56, 58. As a result, the user can feel the moisture. In addition, the liquid secretion of the body, temporarily withheld, may leak from the absorbent products and zagryazniteley user and underwear.

Description of the INVENTION

The invention is directed to solving the foregoing problems. The invention provides an absorbent article which can properly handle unexpected, sudden release of body fluids.

In accordance with various embodiments of the invention provides the absorbent article with an annular absorbent member. Absorbent product in accordance with one variant of implementation may include the following: permeable to fluid top sheet; not permeable to liquids lower sheet; an annular absorbent element located between the top sheet and bottom sheet for absorption and retention of fluid passing through the top sheet, the annular absorbent element forms a hole in its Central area, wherein the hole is elongated in a longitudinal direction; and a second absorbent element located between the annular absorbent member and the lower sheet, whereby the absorbent element has a viewable area that is aligned with the position of the hole of the annular absorbent member.

In one embodiment, the second absorbent element may include: transmitting element, absorbing and delivering retained fluid in the annular absorbent element; and an absorbent main element, absorbent, sufficientLenno via the transmitting element. In addition, the visible area may include a plurality of dots printed with a print on the transmitting element or the plurality of holes forming the transmitting element.

In one embodiment, the annular absorbent member may be formed so that the lower surface of the annular absorbent element facing the second absorbent element that absorbs and distributes the liquid faster than the upper surface of the annular absorbent element facing the upper sheet.

In one embodiment, the annular absorbent member can have a width 22-52 mm and a length of 50-150 mm. Ring-absorbing element may have a thickness of 0.5-3 mm.

In one embodiment, the opening may have a width of 20-50 mm and a length of 30-100 mm. the Internal volume of the hole, which is formed as a product of a flat area of the hole and the thickness of the annular absorbent element may be in the range of 0.5-3.0 ml. the distance from the end of the annular absorbent element in the direction of the width of the hole may be equal to or more than 2 mm.

In one embodiment, the annular absorbent element may include having absorbent properties of the material, which is equal to or more than 50% of the total weight of the annular absorbent member. In addition, the density with absorbing properties of the material cant to be lower than that the density of the second absorbent element. With absorbing properties of the material may include cellulose fibers.

In one embodiment, the flat area of the hole may be equal to or more than 20% of the entire flat area of the annular absorbent member.

In one embodiment, the hole may include a plurality of perforations.

Absorbent product in accordance with one variant of implementation includes an annular absorbent element having a hole. Thus, the absorbent product can absorb and retain large amounts of fluid the body and can deliver the liquid secretion of the body to the absorbent core element through the transmitting element. Since the top sheet is partially spaced from the transmitting element through the hole of the annular absorbent element, the upper sheet can become dry in a short period of time after the introduction of the liquid body. Accordingly, the absorbent article can provide a sense of dryness to the user.

Since the hole is formed elongated in the longitudinal direction of the absorbent products in the Central absorbent portion of the ring element, the liquid secretion of the body, passing through the top sheet may advantageously be distributed in the longitudinal direction than in the direction of the width of absorbent products. Accordingly, it is possible to prevent the intensive distribution of the liquid secretions of the body in the direction of the width of absorbent products, thereby preventing the flow in the direction of the width of absorbent products.

In addition, since the visible area is formed in the transmitting element so as to correspond to the hole of the annular absorbent member, the user can visually see the visible area through the upper sheet. As a result, the user can assume that the capacity of the hole is greater than the actual capacity, and can be expected that the absorbent product will instantly absorb large amount of liquid secretions of the body. Thus, the absorbent article can provide a sense of security to the user.

The PREFERRED embodiment of the INVENTION

Embodiments of absorbent articles will be described below with reference to the accompanying drawings. The same reference position indicate similar or corresponding parts in the images of drawings.

As used herein, the term "longitudinal direction", in General, refers to the direction, which coincides with the front and rear direction in the body of a user when the absorbent product is on the user, while the term "width direction" refers to the direction perpendicular to the longitudinal direction. Also, used here the term "upper" is usually based on the orientation depicted in the drawings, while thermh "bottom", usually refers to the opposite direction to the upper direction.

Referring to Fig.3 and 5, the absorbent article 100 in accordance with one variant of the invention includes: permeable to fluid top sheet 110; impervious to liquids lower sheet 120; and an annular absorbent element 130 and the second absorbing element 140, 150, located between the top sheet 110 and the bottom sheet 120. The second absorbing element 140, 150 is located between the annular absorbent element 130 and the bottom sheet 120. The annular absorbent element 130 absorbs and holds the liquid passing through the top sheet 110. The annular absorbent element 130 has a hole 131 formed in its Central area. Hole 131 is formed elongated in the longitudinal direction. The second absorbent element has a viewable area or region of detection 141, which is aligned with the hole 131 of the annular absorbent element 130. In one embodiment, the second absorbent element 140, 150 may include: transmitting element 140, absorbing and delivering the liquid retained in the annular absorbent element 130; and an absorbent main element 150, absorbing and collecting the liquid delivered through the transmitting element 140. The transmitting element 140 and an absorbent core element 150 may be separately performed or formedcoloured integrally. The liquid may include the fluid secreted from the body of the user (hereinafter, the liquid secretion of the body).

The top plate 110 serves for the transmission fluid and rapid movement of liquid to the annular absorbent element 130, so that is in contact with the top sheet 110. The top sheet 110 may include a material having a wetting ability, hydrophilicity and porosity.

The bottom sheet 120 may be made of an impermeable plastic film. The bottom sheet 120 prevents the flow of body fluids held in the absorbent core element 150 and leaving stains or dirt on the skin or undergarment of the user.

The annular absorbent element 130 is located under the top sheet 110. The annular absorbent element 130 serves to absorb part of the liquid secretions of the body, passing or penetrating through the top sheet 110 and for temporary retention.

As shown in Fig.5, single hole 131 formed in the Central portion of a circular absorbent element 130. In another embodiment, the annular absorbent element 130 may include a plurality of perforations, which are arranged so as to conform to the shape of the opening 131, instead of the single hole 131. The hole 131 can affect the increase in the volume of the annular ititydelivery element 130 and the temporary hold. Since the top sheet 110 and the transmitting element 140 spaced apart through holes 131, the absorbent article 100 can provide a feeling of dryness to the user. In one embodiment, the width W1 of the openings 131 may be in the range of 20-50 mm and the length L1 of the openings 131 may be in the range of 30-100 mm. in addition, the width W2 of the annular absorbent element 130 may be in the range 22-52 mm, while the length L2 of the annular absorbent element 130 may be in the range of 50-150 mm. To provide a physical barrier annular absorbent element 130, the distance d between the end or edge in the direction of the width of the annular absorbent element 130 and the hole 131 may be equal to or more than 2 mm.

When the hole 131 is formed elongated in the longitudinal direction of the absorbent product 100, the liquid secretion of the body mainly aim to be absorbed and distributed in the longitudinal direction more than in the direction of the width of the absorbent product 100. Accordingly, it is possible to prevent extensive distribution of the liquid secretions of the body in the direction of the width of the absorbent product 100, and thus, leakage of the absorbent product 100. In one embodiment, the thickness t of the hole 131 (for example, the thickness of the annular absorbent element 130) may be in the range of 0.5-3 mm. in addition, the internal lens holes 131, which can be formed as a product of a flat area of the hole 131 and the thickness t of the hole 131 may be in the range of 0.5-2.0 ml. Thus, the annular absorbent element 130 may temporarily hold a lot of liquid secretions of the body.

In one embodiment, the annular absorbent element 130 can include one hydrophilic material, one hydrophobic material and their composition. In addition, the annular absorbent element 130 may contain absorbent material is more than 50% of the total weight of the annular absorbent element 130. In some embodiments the absorbent material may include cellulose fibers. The absorbent material can have a density lower than the density of the transmitting element 140 or absorbent core element 150. The annular absorbent element 130 in some embodiments is designed so that the bottom surface of the annular absorbent element 130, addressed to the transmitting element 140, absorbs and distributes the liquid body faster than the upper surface of the annular absorbent element 130, appeal to the upper sheet 110.

The hole 131 of the annular absorbent element 130 allows the liquid excretions of the body pass through the top sheet 110 for quick absorption of the absorbent core element 150. Thus, in addition, it is possibleth preventing leakage or seepage of the liquid secretion of the body outward from the transmitting element 140, as the liquid secretion of the body is absorbed absorbent core element 150. Thus, the annular absorbent element 130 may serve as a physical barrier for liquid secretion of the body. The annular absorbent element 130 can provide the flexibility of absorbent articles 100 and to maintain the original shape of the absorbent product 100. To this end, in some embodiments the planar area of the hole 131 is equal to or more than 20% of the total planar area of the annular absorbent element 130. The annular absorbent element 130 may have a rectangular shape with a rectangular opening in accordance with the design of absorbent products.

The transmitting element 140 not only delivers the liquid secretion of the body held within the annular absorbent element 130 in the direction of the absorbent main element 150, but at the same time, absorbs the fluid discharge portion of the body. The transmitting element 140 may include the visible area (or region recognition) 141, which is formed to fit the shape of the holes 131 of the annular absorbent element 130 which is aligned with the position of the hole 131.

In one embodiment, the visible region 141 may include a plurality of dots deposited by printing on the upper surface of paradossalmente 140. In addition, the visible area 141 may include a plurality of perforations or small holes) formed in the transmitting element 140. As shown in Fig.3, a set of points or set of perforations can be positioned so as to match or fit the shape of the hole 131. If the visible area includes points, such points can be deposited by printing a color deeper than the upper plate (110) or the transmitting element 140. If the points with deeper colors are visible through the upper sheet 110 together with the hole 131, the user may believe that the depth of the hole 131 (or the height of the annular absorbent element 130) is greater than the actual depth or height. For this reason, the user can expect that the opening 131 has a large capacity, and absorbent product absorb large quantities of liquid secretions of the body. Thereby, the user can feel safe. In addition, with regard to the visible region 141, including perforation, the user may believe that the capacity of the hole 131, visible through the upper sheet 110, has a large capacity, and thus feel safe. Moreover, the perforations can, essentially, increase the capacity of the hole 131. As a result, the liquid secretion of the body, held in both, the hole 131 and the perforations, can be quickly sufficientLeno to absorbent main element 150. In other embodiments the visible region 141 may include various patterns to enhance the aesthetic feeling of the absorbent product 100.

Absorbent core element is located between the transmitting element 140 and the bottom sheet 120 for quick absorption and collecting liquid excretions of the body.

Absorbent core element 150 may include a material which is elastic, pliable and not irritating the skin of the user.

In one embodiment, the absorbent article 100 may also include plot embossing 160 to effectively prevent coagulation and leakage of liquid secretions of the body. Plot embossing 160 may be formed by pressing the upper sheet 110, the transmitting element 140 and an absorbent core element 150. Plot embossing 160 may include: a first area of the embossing 161 located along the transmitting element 140 and an absorbent core element 150; and the second phase embossing 162 adjacent to the first sector of embossing 161 in the longitudinal direction of the absorbent product 100. The first section of embossing 161 may be in the form of a closed loop and the second phase embossing 162 may be in the form of discontinuous dots.

Next, the description will be based on the characteristics of absorbing andDelia in accordance with one variant of implementation, based on the test results together with an absorbent product in accordance with comparative examples. Fake blood was used during testing, as the liquid to be absorbed absorbent products. The blood of animals, such as cattle or horse, can be used as the liquid to be absorbed.

The absorbtion time

Table 1 below shows the absorbtion time, when the artificial blood is applied to different types of absorbent products in the same conditions.

[Table 1]

The absorbtion time (sec)14,527,637,2

A1: the Absorbent product in accordance with one variant of execution

B1: Comparative example 1

B2: Comparative example 2 (Absorbent product to another company)

From table 1 it can be seen that the time absorbed in the absorbent article (A1) in accordance with one variant has decreased by about 30-50% compared to the comparative samples 1 and 2 (B1, B2).

Changes in time itaiwanI, associated with the periodic application

Table 2 below shows the absorbtion time when 3 ml of artificial blood applied 3 times on different types of absorbent products in the same conditions.

[Table 2]

The second time of absorption (sec)4,311,1
The third time of absorption (sec)9,716,6

A1: the Absorbent product in accordance with one variant of execution

B1: Comparative example 1

As comparative example 1, the second and third being absorbed is increased about two times and about three times compared to the first time absorbed. In contrast, in the absorbent article (A1) in accordance with one variant of execution of the second time of absorption was almost equal to the first time absorbed. In addition, a third being absorbed increased about two times compared with the first or second time, itityof. Accordingly, despite the fact that artificial blood is re-deposited on the absorbent article (A1), while absorbed into the absorbent article (A1) has not increased significantly.

The operation of the annular absorbent member as a physical barrier

Fig.6 shows that artificial blood is applied to the absorbent product is tilted in the longitudinal direction. Fig.7 shows that artificial blood is distributed after application, as shown in Fig.6. Fig.8 shows the artificial blood deposited on the absorbent product is tilted in the direction of width. Fig.9 shows an artificial blood distributed after application, as shown in Fig.8.

Fig.6 and 7 artificial blood is applied to an absorbent product, which was tilted at about 30 degrees in the longitudinal direction of the absorbent products. As clearly seen from comparison of Fig.7, in comparative example 2 (B2) artificial blood was flowing down in the direction of inclination of absorbent products after application. However, very little artificial blood in the absorbent article (A1) in accordance with one variant of implementation emerged from the hole of the annular absorbent member.

Referring to Fig.8 and 9, the artificial blood was deposited on the absorbent product, which was tilted at about 30 degrees in direction width of the absorbent products. As clearly seen from comparison of Fig.9, in comparative example 2 (B2) artificial blood was flowing down in the direction of inclination of absorbent products after application. However, very little artificial blood in the absorbent article (A1) in accordance with one variant of implementation emerged from the hole of the annular absorbent member.

Accordingly, it is established that the annular absorbent element of the absorbent product in accordance with one variant of implementation acts as a physical barrier.

The flexibility of absorbent products

Table 3 below shows the effort required to deform various types of absorbent products in the same conditions.

[Table 3]
A1B1
The force required for deformation of the absorbent products (gram-force)6,8419,60

A1: Absorbent product with an annular absorbent element in accordance with one variant of execution

B1: Comparative example 1

The force required for deformation of the absorbent article (A1) in accordance with one variant of implementation, reduced by the eyeabout 50%, when compared with comparative example 1 (B1). Thus, the flexibility of the absorbent article (A1) is increased by about 50% when compared with comparative example 1 (B1). Accordingly, when the user moves or leads an active lifestyle, while using an absorbent product, such flexibility absorbent products can provide tight fit to the user.

The distribution of artificial blood in the absorbent product

Fig.10 shows the upper leaves are absorbing products after application of artificial blood. Fig.11 shows the lower leaves absorbing products after application of artificial blood.

As shown in Fig.10 and 11, the artificial blood in the comparative examples 1 and 2 (B1, B2) is distributed in the longitudinal direction and in the width direction of the respective absorbent articles. In addition, in comparative examples 1 and 2 (B1, B2), the value distribution in the longitudinal direction of the absorbent products was approximately equal to the size in the width direction. More specifically, the artificial blood in the comparative example 2 (B2) is distributed in both ends of the absorbent products in the direction of width. The absorbent product (A1), in accordance with one variant of implementation, however, artificial blood predominant way extends in the longitudinal direction of the paine, than in the direction of width. Thus, in the absorbent article (A1) in accordance with one variant of implementation of the liquid secretion of the body may be distributed in the direction of both ends of the transmitting element and the absorbent core element in the longitudinal direction. Accordingly, the absorbent article (A1) in accordance with one variant of execution can reduce the absorption and increase the absorption capacity. In addition, the absorbent article (A1) in accordance with one variant of implementation can prevent the liquid secretion of the body from strong expansion in the direction of the width of absorbent products for the flow in the direction of the width of absorbent products.

Although the invention has been shown and described with the help of the above variants of implementation, the invention should not be limited. For specialists in the art it will be understood that various alternatives or modifications can be made without departing from the scope of the invention.

FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine, namely to purulent surgery, and can be used to treat acute and chronic septic wounds. That is ensured by pre-measuring patient's capillary wall resistance on the involved body area, which is covered with a vacuum dressing, underneath which a low pressure within the range of 50-200 torr is generated for a period of time being no more than 20 times greater than the resistance time. Once this period of time expires, the wound is drained and bathed at the above low pressure by administering an antiseptic, which is presented by an anolyte with hydrogen concentration pHan falling within the range of 2≤(pH)an≤4, and the oxidation-reduction potential (Eh)an ranging from [1,000≤(Eh)an≤1,200] mV. The drainage and bathing procedures last for 5-10 minutes. That is followed by 3-5-minute pressure reset, and the anolyte supply is shut off; the anolyte with the wound discharge is evacuated until the pressure underneath the vacuum dressing re-drops to 50-200 torr. Thereafter, the anolyte is re-supplied to the wound through a drain tube. The cycles are alternated for 5-8 times. The vacuum dressing is removed from the septic wound, and the necrotic tissue areas are covered with pepsin powder and dressed or drained through anolyte gauze drain sponges. A 4-6-hour break is followed by replacing the anolyte dressing with pepsin by the vacuum dressing, and the similar alternating process mentioned above is repeated. The procedure is performed 2 or 3 times a day for 3 or 5 days within the therapeutic course. As the wound heals, and the local oedema and bacterial content decrease, the above therapeutic cycle is to be repeated. The flushing drainage and bathing therapy involves replacing the anolyte by catholyte, the hydrogen concentration pH of which lies in the range of 8≤(pH)an≤13, whereas the oxidation-reduction potential (Eh)cat varies within [-820≤(Eh)cat≤-300] mV. As the catholyte flows to the wound, infrasonic vibrations of the power of 10-2 to 1 W/cm2 continuously and periodically varying within the range of 10 to 30 Hz and back are excited. The drainage and bathing procedure with the periodic ultrasound in the above frequency range lasts for 15-20 minutes. The ultrasound is switched off, the catholyte supply is shut off from the wound until the pressure underneath the vacuum dressing re-drops to 50-200 torr. The catholyte flows to the wound again, and infrasonic vibrations of the power of 10-2 to 1 W/cm2 continuously and periodically varying within the range of 10 to 30 Hz and back are excited. The cycles are alternated for 5-8 times. Once the catholyte evacuation from the wound is terminated, the last cycle of the alternating process involves removing the dressing from the healing wound, however tissues impregnated with the catholyte are left in the wound. The above procedure is performed 4-6 hours later, up to 2 or 3 times a day until the therapy is completed.

EFFECT: method provides the effective treatment of the septic wounds at the various stages by pathogenetically substantiated target in the polymicrobial wound contamination.
