SUBSTANCE: invention refers to dentistry, namely represents an encapsulated oral care composition and an oral care device. According to the invention, the composition contains: (a) a gelatine capsule; and (b) an oral care composition inside the capsule and containing: (i) a hydrophilic active ingredient, (ii) a hydrophobic structuring ingredient, and (iii) an oil carrier. The hydrophilic active ingredient preferentially represents cetylpyridinium chloride. The hydrophobic structuring ingredient preferentially represents gelated mineral oil.

EFFECT: developing the composition according to the invention solves the problem of cetylpyridinium chloride migration and fish-eye capsule defect.

The technical field to which the invention relates

The present invention relates to encapsulated compositions for caring for the oral cavity and containing a device for the care of the oral cavity.

The state of the art to which the invention relates

Known composition for caring for the oral cavity in the form of solid, semi-solid or encapsulated compositions, which are placed on the bristles of the device for cleaning the teeth.

The cetylpyridinium chloride (CPC) is an ingredient commonly used as antibacterial substances in compositions for caring for the oral cavity, but not encapsulated in gelatin liquid compositions for caring for the oral cavity.

Accordingly, it appears desirable offer encapsulated in gelatin liquid compositions for the care of mouth cavity containing CPC. In addition, it is desirable to offer a hygienic device for the care of mouth cavity containing gelatin capsule, comprising a liquid cosmetic composition for caring for the oral cavity containing CPC.

Summary of the invention

A variety of options for the implementation described in this document comply with the above requirements, offering encapsulated in gelatin liquid composition for caring for the oral cavity containing CPC, and containing devices to care �and oral cavity.

According to one aspect of the present invention, the encapsulated composition to care for the oral cavity includes: (a) a capsule containing gelatin; and (b) a composition for caring for the oral cavity contained inside the capsule, wherein the composition for caring for the oral cavity contains: (i) a hydrophilic active ingredient, (ii) a hydrophobic structuring ingredient, and (iii) an oil carrier.

In certain embodiments, hydrophobic structuring ingredient contains gelatinisation mineral oil.

In certain embodiments, hydrophobic structuring ingredient contains gelatinisation mineral oil in an amount of from 1 to 20 wt.% relative to the total weight of the composition to care for the oral cavity.

In certain embodiments, gelatinisation mineral oil is plastigel containing a polyethylene and mineral oil.

In certain embodiments, the oil carrier comprises at least one of vegetable oils and silicone oil.

In certain embodiments, carrier oil contains triglyceride C6-C12.

In certain embodiments, the oil carrier comprises from 60 to 80 mass% of a composition for caring for the oral cavity.

In certain in�the options the implementation of the hydrophilic active ingredient is a cetylpyridinium chloride.

In certain embodiments, the hydrophilic active ingredient is from 0.05 to 5% by weight of the composition to care for the oral cavity.

In certain embodiments, the composition for caring for the oral cavity further comprises from 5 to 25 wt.% flavour and from 0.1 to 5 wt.% sweetener.

According to another aspect of the present invention, a method of cleaning teeth comprises applying to the teeth an encapsulated composition to care for the oral cavity of the present invention so that the capsule releases the composition to care for the oral cavity to clean their teeth.

According to another aspect of the present invention, a device for caring for the oral cavity contains a handle; a head mounted on the handle, wherein the head includes an external surface and many cleaning teeth elements extending outward from the outer surface; and an encapsulated composition to care for the oral cavity of the present invention applied to the head.

In certain embodiments, the device for the care of the oral cavity, the capsule is inside and surrounded by cleaning elements.

Detailed description of the invention

When used throughout the text of this document intervals are presented for a brief description of each and every value that is within a given interval. Any value within the interval can be selected as the boundaries of the interval. In addition, all documents cited herein, in their entirety are incorporated through appropriate links. In the event of a conflict between the definition in the present description and definitions�m the quoted document shall prevail present description. Active ingredients for the care of p�lastly mouth include but are not limited to, foaming materials, antibacterial substances, bleaching materials, preventing the formation of concretions materials, antimicrobial agents that prevent the formation of Tartar materials, anti-inflammatories, etc.

Gelatinisation mineral oil is preferably a mixture of mineral oil and polyethylene, and most preferably plastigel (PLASTIGEL 5), which is a mixture of 5% polyethylene in mineral oil and supplied by Pharmaceutical firm Resources/Lyne Laboratories Inc. (Brockton, Massachusetts). Other suitable plastigel can be produced in accordance with the work Thau et al. "a New method of making gels containing a polyethylene and mineral oil", J. Soc. Cosmetic Chemists (Journal of the society of cosmetic chemists), 1965, vol. 16, pp. 359-363. Suitable hydrophobic structuring the ingredients additionally introduced into gelatinisation mineral oil, such as plastigel, Oprah�tell that using this description as a guide.

In addition to hydrophobic structuring ingredient, the composition for caring for the oral cavity contains an oil carrier, such as vegetable oil and/or silicone oil. Hydrophilic active ingredient is preferably from 0.0001 to 7 wt.% or from 0.05 to 5 mass%, or from 0.05 to 1 wt.% with respect to the weight of the composition to care for the oral cavity. Hydrophilic active ingredient preferably is a chloride of cetylpyridinium.

In addition to the hydrophilic active ingredient, a hydrophobic structuring ingredient and an oil carrier, the composition for caring for the oral cavity may also contain one or more acceptable�'s to care for the oral cavity abrasive materials, flavors, colors, sweeteners, processing AIDS, and optionally water.

In certain embodiments, the composition for caring for the oral cavity represents, consists of, or contains 1 to 10 mass%, preferably from 2.5 to 7 wt.% and most preferably 5 wt.% providing effective cleaning of the abrasive material, so that the total amount of abrasive material delivered during a single application is 2 mg to 8 mg, preferably 3 mg to 6 mg, and most preferably about 4 mg of abrasive material. Providing effective cleaning of the abrasive material is present in acceptable to care for the oral cavity medium. A small amount of having the small particle size of the abrasive material provides improved effect of removing spots and the occlusion effect.

It is preferable to choose as an abrasive material which provides effective cleaning of silicon dioxide, tetranatrolite (TSPP), sodium tripolyphosphate (STPP), and mixtures thereof. Typically, abrasive materials have a weight average particle size of 2 to 18 microns and at least 90 wt.% the particles have a size less than 20 μm, the abrasion of dentin by radioactivity (RDA), determined for an aqueous suspension of the powder dioxide to�Omnia is from 90 to 230, the efficiency of plaque removal (PCR) with the introduction of the composition for care of teeth in an amount of 10 wt.% is more than 80, the ratio of PCR/RDA is from 0.4:1 to less than 1:1, and abrasive wear of plastic (PAV) is from 1 to 20.

Preferred abrasive materials are silicon dioxide, having a particularly effective cleaning performance is demonstrated by relatively high values of PCR, reflected in the traditional values of RDA in compositions for the care of mouth cavity containing a relatively small quantity of silicon dioxide. Although the ratio of PCR and RDA is less than 1, the RDA value is preferably higher than that of traditional silicon dioxide with a higher ratio of PCR and RDA, and when compared with these products the higher the value of the PCR is achieved with the same amount of silicon dioxide. Abrasive wear of plastic is a quantitative measure of scratches formed on the surface under the action of silicon dioxide, and thus is an indicator of possible damage to the teeth. Suitable for use of silicon dioxide has a moderate value PAV, but the high value of the PCR, an indicator of a good cleaning without excessive damage to your teeth.

Mass-average particle size of silicon dioxide can be measured using a particle size analyzer Malvern Mastersizer™, and the preferred material can have a weight average particle size of 5 to 10 microns. The distribution of particle size and, consequently, the proportion of particles having a size below a specific value, you can define in the same way. In the case of amorphous silica, at least 90 wt.% the particles preferably have a size of less than 17 microns.

In a particular embodiment of the mass-average particle size of the abrasive materials used in the variants of implementation, is from 3 to 7 μm, with at least 90 wt.% the particles have a size of less than 16 microns, preferably less than 12 microns.

In a specific embodiment, the silicon dioxide is present in the form of particles of such size that they can implement effective blockage (occlusion) of the dentinal tubules. Thus, frequent�particles of silicon dioxide preferably have an average diameter, constituting from 0.5 to 10 μm, from 1 to 9 microns, or from 2 to 7 μm with an average diameter of less than 5 microns is preferred.

Abrasive wear of dentin radioactivity (RDA) for silicon dioxide has a value ranging from 100 to 220. More typical values of RDA ranged from 120 to 200, and often exceeds RDA 140. Typically, silicon dioxide, having a value of PAV above 15, has a value above 120 RDA, and silicon dioxide, having a value of PAV above 17, RDA has above 140.

The PCR value amorphous silica (measured at its content in the dental composition of 10 wt.%) is more than 85, preferably greater than 90 and preferably more than 95. The ratio of PCR:RDA is preferably from 0.5:1 to 0.9:1.

Amorphous silica preferably has a pH value, measured at 5% of the content in the suspension, which is 5 to 8, preferably from 6 to 7.5. The amount of water present in the amorphous silica, which is suitable for use in dental compositions, when measured by mass loss on ignition at 1000°C, typically up to 25 wt.% and preferably up to 15 wt.%. Typically, the loss of mass on ignition at 1000°C is more than 4 mass%.

In composition it is possible to use colorants such as pigments and dyes.Pigments include non-toxic water soluble inorganic pigments, such as titanium dioxide, green chromium oxide, ultramarine blue, pink pigments and iron oxide(III). The pigments have a particle size of 5 to 1000 μm, preferably from 250 to 500 microns, and are present in a concentration of from 0.5 to 3 mass%.

Used dyes, as a rule, represent a food color additives that are currently certified in accordance with the law of food, drugs and cosmetics (FD&C) for use in foods and oral drugs, including dyes such as FD&C red No. 3 (sodium salt of tetraiodofluorescein), FD&C yellow No. 5 (sodium salt of 4-p-sulfophenylazo-1-p-sulfophenyl-5-hydroxypyrazol-3-carboxylic acid), FD&C yellow No. 6 (sodium salt of p-sulfophenylazo-β-naphthol-6-monosulfonic acid), FD&C green No. 3 (disodium salt of ethyl[4-[[4-[ethyl-[(3-sulfophenyl)methyl]amino]phenyl]-(4-hydroxy-2-sulfophenyl)methylidene]-1-cyclohexa-2,5-dienylidene]-[(3-sulfophenyl)methyl]Azania), FD&C blue No. 1 (disodium salt acid Indigo) and mixtures thereof in various proportions. Preferred dyestuff concentrations ranging from 0.0005 to 1% relative to the total weight.

Any suitable flavoring or sweetener that can�to enter the second component of the composition to care for the oral cavity. Examples of suitable flavoring ingredients include flavoring oils of plants, such as, for example, curly mint, peppermint, Wintergreen (Wintergreen), sassafras (American Laurel), clove, sage, eucalyptus, marjoram (oregano), cinnamon, lemon, orange, and methyl salicylate. In the number of suitable sweeteners included sucrose, Sucralose, lactose, maltose, sorbitol, xylitol, sodium cyclamate, peralatan and sodium saccharinate. Flavoring materials include in a composition for caring for the oral cavity at a level of preferably from 5 to 25 mass%, preferably from 10% to 20 wt.% and most preferably about 15 wt.%. Sweeteners can be from 0.1 to 5%, preferably from 0.25 to 2% and most preferably about 0.5% of the total mass of all components of the composition to care for the oral cavity.

Compositions for caring for the oral cavity optionally contain one or more additional inactive ingredients. Among their non-restrictive examples included solvents, bicarbonate salt, acidity regulators (pH), foam modulators, thickening agents, structuring substances, colorants, sweeteners, flavorings and colorants. In one preferred aspect of the present invention, the above-mentioned encapsulated composition to care for the oral cavity is placed on the unit to care for the oral cavity. For example, the encapsulated composition to care for the oral cavity can be placed on the head of the unit to care for the oral cavity. This can be done by placing the encapsulated composition to care for the oral cavity in or between the cleaning elements of the device for the care of the oral cavity. Further, these concepts will be described in more detail with reference to drawings. When applied to such a device for cleaning teeth, the amount of the composition to care for the oral cavity inside the capsule is usually from 45 mg to 80 mg, preferably from 50 mg to 75 mg and most preferably about 64 mg of a composition for caring for the oral cavity.

Device to care for the oral cavity may include tearing the dispenser containing a composition for caring for the oral cavity, as an attached unit or various other combinations of components and materials as described. A dispenser containing a composition for caring for the oral cavity, such as a composition for caring for the oral cavity, as described in this document, or other material to care for the oral cavity, can be attached to a part of the bristles or cleaning elements of the device to care for the oral cavity, implement metered on the teeth of a composition for caring for the oral cavity. EXAMPLE

As noted above, the authors present invention believe, Thu� useful effects provided by the present invention relate to preventing or delaying migration of cetylpyridinium chloride in a gelatin capsule during the cooling phase of the production process where all layers of the capsule are actually fluid. Thus, the time of deposition of the particles for a range of compositions investigated, depending on the viscosity of the compositions. The time of deposition of particles for this composition should be predictable depending on the migration of cetylpyridinium chloride from the composition in a gelatin capsule. The viscosity was measured to determine any relationship between viscosity and time of deposition of the particles. The viscosity was measured using viscometer model Brookfield (Brookfield) LVDV 2+. Using the spinel type V73. Viscosities were measured at a rotation speed of 1 rpm.

These values were compared with the comparative sample of bleach WISP™ PLUS WHITENING, whose viscosity was 317 SP, and the time of deposition of the particles was 20 minutes. However, when using CPC time of deposition of the particles is sufficient to prevent the aforementioned problems caused by the rapid migration of cetylpyridinium chloride in a gelatin capsule. The time of deposition of the particles was determined by visual observation of the migration of suspended concistence�'s particles on the bottom of the vessel. Used a stopwatch to measure the time of deposition of fine particles on the bottom of the vessel.

Therefore, the studied compositions were evaluated in comparison with the comparative (control) composition. The results are presented in table 1 below. Ideal are studied composition at which the vapor deposition particles is more than 10 minutes, and the viscosity values are equal to or less than approximately 800 SP. These compositions are almost prevent the migration of cetylpyridinium chloride in a gelatin capsule during the stage of cooling/solidification in the production of capsules, but have a sufficiently low viscosity, with the result that they are appropriate for the existing process conditions. Table 1 shows that some of the investigated compositions have viscosities within the preferred interval below 800 SP, or below 750 SP, or below, 500 SP, or components of less than or equal to 350 SP or ranging from 100 to 800 SP or from 150 to 750 SP.

The present invention is described above with respect to various preferred aspects; however, it should be understood that the present invention is not limited to the described variants of implementation. Variations and modifications which are obvious to a person skilled in the art also form part of the present invention, which is defined in the attached claims.

1. The encapsulated composition to care for the oral cavity, including:
(a) water-soluble capsule; and
(b) a composition for caring for the oral cavity contained inside the capsule and comprising:
i. hydrophilic active ingredient;
ii. hydrophobic structuring ingredient; and
iii. hydrophobic media,
where hydrophobic structuring ingredient contains gelatinisation mineral oil, and where gelatinisation mineral oil is plastigel containing polietilen and mineral oil;
where a hydrophilic active ingredient contains solid active ingredient, which is a cetylpyridinium chloride;
where the hydrophilic carrier comprises at least one of vegetable oils and silicone oil.

2. A composition according to claim 1, wherein the hydrophobic structuring ingredient contains Gelatines�action of mineral oil in an amount of from 1 to 20 wt.% relative to the total weight of the composition to care for the oral cavity.

3. A composition according to claim 1 or 2, where the media contains triglyceride C6-C12.

4. A composition according to claim 1, wherein the carrier is 60 to 80 mass% of a composition for caring for the oral cavity.

5. A composition according to claim 1, wherein the hydrophilic active ingredient is from 0.05 to 5% by weight of the composition to care for the oral cavity.

6. A composition according to claim 1, where the composition is to care for the oral cavity further comprises from 5 to 25 wt.% flavour and from 0.1 to 5 wt.% sweetener.

7. A composition according to claim 1, wherein the hydrophilic active ingredient is a cetylpyridinium chloride, hydrophobic structuring ingredient is gelatinisation mineral oil, the carrier is a Caprylic/capric triglyceride and composition for caring for the oral cavity further comprises hydrated silica, sorbitol, energy, glycerin, colorant and flavoring.

8. A composition according to claim 1, wherein the hygienic composition for caring for the oral cavity has a viscosity of from 150 to 330 SP.

14. Device for the care of the oral cavity, including:
the handle;
head mounted on the handle, wherein the head has an external surface and many cleaning teeth elements extending outward from the outer surface; and
composition according to any preceding paragraph, applied to the head.
