Area of technology

The present invention relates to a system for the internal rear-view mirrors, relevant to the technical field of automobile accessories, which have been improved so that it contains auto dimming system.

Prior art

Automotive internal rear view mirrors are already known and, in fact, contain: mirror glass, which focuses the area behind the vehicle; a frame which accommodates a mirror glass having a rear bearing mounted in the middle of the top part of the windscreen or on the interior ceiling of the vehicle near the middle of the upper side of the windshield; a mechanism for adjusting the position of the frame and/or glass and sometimes other mechanisms, such as interior lighting or etc. the Disadvantage of conventional internal rear view mirrors is that they give the glare from the light of the headlights of other vehicles, coming from behind and reflect them in the eyes of the driver, thereby obscuring his visibility, which can lead to accidents. Already known dimming device in order to overcome such disadvantage. Although existing dimming devices perform their function, is constantly conducting research to improve and so, that they work without interference or even in cooperation with other functions, which have recently included in the rearview mirror.

Summary of the invention

Therefore, the present invention is to provide an improved internal rear view mirror that includes auto dimming system, which is effective in fulfilling its primary objectives and do not cause interference and even interacts with other functions, recently included in the internal rear view mirrors, such as television receivers or DVD players, gauge, reverse gear, etc.

Another object of the invention is to provide a rear view mirror that includes auto dimming system, which in addition to providing the above advantages are not requires a high level of complexity of design or manufacture, which makes it unattractive.

Another object of the invention is to provide an inexpensive rear-view mirror comprising a dimming system.

Brief description of the drawings

Based on the above aspects and objectives and to achieve their implementation, this description discloses an improved internal mirror sadnes view construction, operation and advantages of which are described below based on the accompanying drawings, in which:

Fig.1 and 2 depict side and front views of mirrors, including automatic dimming system of the invention;

Fig.3 depicts a schematic view of two interacting vehicles and activate auto dimming internal rear view mirror and

Fig.4 depicts a block diagram of the sequence of operations of the system of internal rearview mirrors, including dimming system of the invention.

Detailed description of the invention

Object of the invention to the inner mirror 1 rear view is to perform a normal function, i.e. the display of the area behind the vehicle to the driver when he's driving or maneuvering the vehicle. Mirror, essentially contains: flat silver metalized or aluminium mirror glass 2 thickness of 2 mm, which focuses the area behind the vehicle and has a nominal reflectivity of 70%; the node 3 of the frame and a support comprising a flat mirror glass 2, which is mounted in the middle of the upper region of the windscreen or on the ceiling of the salon around the upper Central region of the windscreen of the vehicle 100 and which is sometimes relatedEN with other devices for example, the interior lighting, the mechanism for adjusting the position; electronic entertainment devices, such as a television receiver, a DVD player, an image sensor (not shown).

The improvement of the present invention contains the above provision of the internal rear view mirror with auto dimming system 10, essentially containing: film 11 on the OLED (organic light emitting diode), covering the entire surface of the flat mirror 2 so that the image captured by the mirror show through; the sensor 12, which detects day and night; light sensor 13, which detects light from the headlights coming from behind; two-button 14 associated with the scheme 15 treatment, preferably at the interior rearview mirror.

The internal rear view mirror of the above-mentioned dimming system 10 operates as follows. When the inner rear view mirror 2 reflects light from the headlights 200 (Fig.3) from the other vehicle 100' behind the vehicle 100, an OLED film 11 covering the surface of a plane mirror 2, is activated to attenuate light from the headlights of passing in the mirror 2.

As a result, dimming system 10 is actuated when the mirrorAlo gives the glare from the light of the headlights, which leads to the fact that OLED film 11 responds by reducing conventional reflectivity from 70% to 30%, thereby avoiding obscuration of vision of the driver when the reflection of light from the headlights.

If the light from the headlights no longer be read, the system 10 turns off the OLED film 11 responds and returns to the initial conditions, which leads to the fact that the mirror resumes its 70% reflectivity.

In the absence of light from the headlights OLED film 11 can be manually activated by on-off button 14, to view images from cameras, the messages of the sensors and the image displayed in a predetermined region 50 of the mirror surface 2. In actual operating conditions when the vehicle is turned off and the internal rear-view mirror works as a display, OLED 11 can function as a monitor to receive the signal from electronic multimedia system (DVD-player, television receiver, etc.) installed in the vehicle.

The system contains: the inner mirror 1 rear-view, includes auto dimming system 10 based on OLED film 11 of the present invention, parts of which provide the functionality illustrated in the block diagram of the sequence of operations of the method shown a of Fig.4:
