The invention relates to the technology of displays, in particular to the technology of displays with non-standard aspect ratio or shape of the commercially available liquid crystal matrix (LCD monitor) with standard aspect ratio (the rectangle with an aspect ratio of 3:4, 9:16, or other).

Currently, for specialized applications, where the market is not large enough to mass manufacturer requires displays, custom-made to match certain requirements on their size and shape. Specifically industry that require custom displays, is the aviation industry of Radioelektronika, where traditionally used indicators with a square screen.

A known method of manufacturing a display with non-standard aspect ratio or shape of commercially available LCD monitor with standard aspect ratio (patent RU 2318228 C1, G02F 1/13, 2008). The method consists in the fact that the cutting disc, rotating against the direction of feed of the drive, make blind incision LCD monitor (in the original patent used the term ICA liquid crystal cell) to a depth sufficient for opening the layer of liquid crystal. At the same time on the side surface of the disk at the rear along the edges and in the resulting incision serves liquid sealant. After hardening the sealant takes the part of the LCD monitor is cut off by any known method. Through a cut or chipped produce outside of the hardened sealant or within it.

The disadvantage of this method is the possibility of penetration of fragments of the cutting tool or other foreign particles in the liquid crystal material during formation of the incision to a layer of liquid crystal. Data particles in the liquid crystal material that can lead to areas of increased conductivity between the electrodes of the LCD monitor. As a result, the occurrence of defective columns or rows, which impairs the readability of information with the LCD monitor and, accordingly, reduces the percentage yield usable displays. In addition, in this way it is impossible or difficult the formation of a cut rectilinear form.

The closest way of the same purposes of the present invention, a maximum number of similar features is a way to change the size of the electronic display containing the front plate, rear plate, located on the perimeter of the seal that separates the front and back plates from each other, and forming the image of the environment contained in the space between the front and rear plates and within the borders located on the perimeter of the seal, and front and rear plates are separated from each other by a specified gap cell (U.S. Pat the NT EN 2358305 C2, G02F 1/1339, 2008).

The method includes:

- create a chalk line along each of the front and rear plates for marking the target part and the superfluous part of the display;

- breaking display along the chalk lines to separate the target and unnecessary parts of the display, thereby creating along the target portion of the open edge connected to the space between the plates of the target portion; and before the display is broken, the target part of the display is installed in the mounting bracket; the compression plates of the target portion in the direction toward each other;

- applying glue along the open edge;

return plates to the target part to the specified gap of the cell, retraction thereby the adhesive between the plates along the open edge.

In the specified method is the compression plates of the target portion in the direction towards each other to reduce the gap of the cell with respect to the usual gap. With the possible defects of the target part because of damage to the structural elements the LCD monitor, setting the gap between the plates (so-called spacers or spacers).

In addition, the prototype does not have an operation control recovery properties of liquid crystal composition (FSW) in the field region of the target part after the breaking up of glue along the open edge of the spruce area. The not resume FSW their properties before curing of the adhesive leads to image defects.

These drawbacks reduce the percentage yield of the display resulting from the application of the known method.

The basis of the invention is aimed at developing ways to change the size of the LCD monitor, devoid of the foregoing disadvantages, and which provides the possibility of making a custom display with non-standard aspect ratio or shape with a high yield of useable display.

This technical result is achieved in that in the method of resizing a liquid crystal matrix containing the front and rear plates, separated from each other by a specified gap cells located around the perimeter seal and the liquid crystal composition forming the image, including the creation of a chalk line between the target and remove parts of the matrix, fault LCD matrix marking line and apply to the area of the cut sealant with subsequent curing, prior to fracture off the polarizing film with the deleted part of the liquid crystal matrix, form the cuts on the marking line on the front and rear plates, fault LCD matrix along the lines of incision is made the ez compression plates of the target portion in the direction towards each other to reduce the gap of the cell, and before application of sealant to the area of the cut produce control recovery properties of liquid crystal composition forming the image, in the field region of the target part using a device that generates a stream of polarized light.

In the proposed method there is no compression of the plates of the target portion towards each other prior to fracture, which eliminates damage to the structural elements the LCD monitor, setting the gap between the plates (so-called spacers or spacers). These injuries lead to defective rows and columns and poor readability of the information from the LCD monitor, i.e., unusable display.

In addition, in the proposed method, unlike the prototype, there is an operation of controlling the recovery properties of liquid crystal composition (FSW) along the open edge of the target side after breaking before applying the glue. This operation eliminates the occurrence of image defects due to not resume FSW their properties until the hardening of the glue.

The invention is illustrated by drawings:

Fig.1 is a schematic example of the method;

in Fig.2 - apparatus for forming a stream of polarization of the light used in the method.

How to change the size of the LCD monitor is to carry out the following process about what arazi, described with reference to the positions of the pieces shown on the drawings.

Remove the LCD monitor of the structural elements of the liquid crystal panel (ICP). On the polarizing film 1 is applied marking the line between the target and remove parts of the matrix and remove them with the remove of the LCD monitor, as well as unused in the target of the LCD monitor electronic circuit (if necessary). Then fix the LCD monitor snap-in. On the boundary of the target and removed of the LCD monitor using steklorezy roller tools 2 mounted on the carriage 3 of the guide 4, to form the notches 5 on the front and rear plates 6 LCD monitor. In the space between the front and rear plates and within the borders located on the perimeter of the seal 7 is placed a liquid crystal composition 8, forming the image.

Mechanical break off the portion to remove the LCD monitor and remove the LCD monitor from the snap. Produce control recovery of the optical properties of FSW in the field region of the target part using a device that generates a stream of polarized light. The device includes a polarizing filter (PF) 9 with linear polarization and a source of polarized light (IPS) 10, between which is placed the target part 11 previously cropped the LCD monitor. PF and IPS are placed so that their polarization vectors are perpendicular. Mechanical fault LCD monitor in the field region of the target part can the curl places with disturbed structure of FSW, which by visual observation through the PF look like spots of red or black colors. These defects disappear over time, there is restoration of optical properties of FSW. The recovery of the optical properties of FSW is only to be applied on the area to cut the sealant.

After recovery properties of FSW is applied on the area of the cutting liquid sealant UV curing with the amount of radiation to complete hardening.

An example of a specific implementation of the method of resizing the LCD monitor can be, for example, reduction of commercially available LCD screen size 165221,5 mm (10.4 inches) with a resolution of 1024768 full color elements to size 165167 mm with a resolution of 768768 full color elements to replace the square tubes in the aviation indicators. The method was carried out in the above sequence of operations. After recovery properties of FSW inflicted on the area of the cut sealant UV curing with the amount of radiation 2000 mV/cm2in the spectral sensitivity range from 300 nm to 400 nm was irradiated by a source of UV radiation to complete curing.

Thus, the application of the proposed method changes the size of the LCD monitor is a high percentage of yield using the LCD monitor without degrading the quality of the image is to be placed.

A method of resizing a liquid crystal matrix containing the front and rear plates, separated from each other by a specified gap cells located around the perimeter seal and the liquid crystal composition forming the image, including the creation of a chalk line between the target and remove parts of the matrix, fault LCD matrix marking line and apply to the area of the cut sealant with subsequent curing, characterized in that prior to fracture off the polarizing film with the deleted part of the liquid crystal matrix by marking the line between the target and remove parts of the matrix, forming an incision on the front and rear plates, fault LCD matrix along the lines of incision is made without compression plates of the target portion in the direction towards each other to reduce the gap of the cell, and before application of sealant to the area of the cut produce control recovery properties of liquid crystal composition forming the image, in the field region of the target part using a device that generates a stream of polarized light.
