The invention relates to weapons technology and can be used to cool the barrels of automatic and semi-automatic firearms.

It is known that when firing from automatic weapons is heated, and then overheating the barrel due to the heat generated by the combustion of gunpowder inside the barrel, and the friction of the bullet on the inner surface of the barrel. As a result of overheating fails weapons in the work and it may come into disrepair.

To prevent overheating of the gun on the heavy DShK machine gun (12.7 mm heavy machine gun Degtyarev-Shpagin, arr. 1938 (USSR) [Babak F.K. Guns / Fcklang. - M.: ACT; SPb.: Polygon, 2006. - s] on the outer surface of the barrel made the fins in the form of rings, which increases the surface of the barrel and improves cooling. But it is not enough.

For cooling gun barrels used water cooling. Example - Maxim machine gun (7.62 mm machine gun Maxim, arr. 1910, USA/Russia) [Babak F.K. Guns / Fcklang. - M.: ACT; SPb.: Polygon, 2006. - s]. In the last models of this gun was used not only water, but ice and snow. This greatly increased the weight of the weapon.

As a result of overheating gun barrels can be observed the effect of "haze":

heat flows from the barrel distort the field of view and purpose for some is W hen becomes indistinguishable;

because the temperature of the hot bending of the trunk under the one-sided influence of wind or precipitation occurs pulling the mid-point hits. This is especially true when using the optical sight.

In the heated barrel when the cartridge is long in the chamber, may be spontaneous shot.

To protect an arrow from a burn barrel was made in a metal casing, provided with holes [Shunkov, NR. Encyclopedia latest small arms. / Vinsanto. Under the General editorship Aesars. - M.: AST, Mn.: Harvest, 2006. - 560 S.: ill. (Library of military history). S.401].

Increasing the wall thickness of the barrel and the gain of the receiver allows you to increase the intensity of the fire.

Analogs of the invention can be a light machine gun Lewis gun Pecheneg.

The Lewis gun (7.7 mm light machine gun Lewis, arr. 1915, UK) for intensive cooling of the barrel on the barrel pressed aluminum radiator with longitudinal ribs, which is enclosed in a casing, and by firing the powder gases leaving Nadolny produce thrust forward air, which increases cooling [Babak F.K. Guns / Fcklang. - M.: ACT; SPb.: Polygon, 2006. - p.20].

The gun Pecheneg, which is assigned the index GRAU P the main feature is the outer fins and the conclusion of the treatment in a metal barrel jacket [Shunkov, NR. Encyclopedia latest small arms. / Vinsanto. Under the General editorship Aesars. - M.:AST, Mn.: Harvest, 2006. - 560 S.: ill. (Library of military history), s.401]. When firing the powder gases, with great speed coming out of the muzzle of the barrel, creating at the front of the casing effect ejection pump, putting out cold air along the trunk. The air flows from the atmosphere through the window in the casing, made under the carrying handle [Shunkov, NR. Encyclopedia latest small arms. / Vinsanto. Under the General editorship Aesars. - M.: AST, Mn.: Harvest, 2006. - 560 S.: ill. (Library of military history), s]. Thus, to achieve high practical rate of fire. When doing a long battle gun can shoot up to 1000 rounds per hour without sacrificing combat performance.

According to experts, the real solution to the problem of cooling the barrels is to replace the shafts. Example, SACO, model M ES (USA). However, in offensive operations it is not always possible. The lack of cooling all of the existing models is that the air is being cooled outer surface of the barrel, while the most intense heating of the metal inside the barrel.

The prototype of the present invention is a cooling system submachine gun "Range" M 4 of the Italian firm "SITES" [V. Grytsenko, Fedoseev S.L. Weapons infantry.- M: Arsenal Press, 1997. - p.137], shutter which in its reciprocating movements forcibly directs the flow of air through the bore along the bore, thus preventing overheating of the barrel even in intense shooting, allows you to continuously make 1000 shots. Due to this the possibility of ignition of the cartridge in the chamber is sharply reduced. Outside the barrel protected by a perforated steel casing. The rifling of the barrel have a "sine wave" shape, this reduces the friction force of the bullet inside the barrel.

And yet, in the long intense battle all these measures to cool the barrels insufficient or inconvenient because of the need to replace an overheated barrel to the other.

The technical result by using the proposed invention is the possibility of effective cooling gun barrels in machines, machine guns, heavy machine guns, automatic guns.

The technical result is achieved that is mounted piston compressor, single pass or double pass, the rod of which one end movably connected with the bolt or bolt carrier, and the other end to the piston by means of a finger, and the receiver is connected to the inlet valve with the compressor cylinder, a duct which is directed into the cartridge chamber of the barrel.

The drawing shows compre the SOR, which consists of a cylinder 1, piston with rings 2, finger 3, the connecting rod 4, the inlet 5 and outlet 6 valves per cylinder, receiver 7, two drain valves 8 (one in the lower part of the cylinder, the other at the bottom of the receiver) and the duct 9. The butt has a cut-out for fresh air. The neckline posted by coarse and fine filters air purification.

Compressor to supply air into the chamber and blowing cold air bore for cooling works as follows.

During the movement of the shutter in the rear end position, which occurs during firing single shots or bursts, the connecting rod 4, movably connected with the rear part of the bolt will do reciprocating motion, causing the piston 2 connected to the rod with your finger 3.

The piston 2 is located in the cylinder 1 and the recoil ago, when shot, will move back towards the butt insert, as connected with a valve rod 4.

When the air inside the cylinder 1, will be compressed and through the exhaust valve 6 is pumped into the receiver 7, which will increase the air pressure, which air duct 9 will be directed into the chamber and the air will blow down the barrel, through the cooling of the internal surface of the barrel, in which the heating temperature m is ximala, because the combustion of gunpowder it rises up to 3000C and so the cooling will be most effective.

It is important that the volume of air flowing through the bore, greatly exceeded the volume of air in the barrel, that is, the air change must occur repeatedly.

Set the receiver 7 allows venting of the barrel not only during recoil ago, but when the forward movement of the slide is blowing the barrel, as the receiver will remain excessive air pressure.

When the forward movement of the slide when the ramming of a cartridge in the chamber, the rod 4 with the piston 2 is also moving forward. As a result, the cylinder 1 will be decreasing pressure and to open the inlet valve 5, and filtered air to fill the cylinder 1.

The receiver volume 7 three times less than the volume of the cylinder 1, so at one stroke the pressure in the receiver 7 will rise to 3 MPa. The air in the receiver 7 since the increasing pressure on the duct 9 will be directed into the chamber, and then the barrel to cool it down.

The diameter of the duct is chosen so that the air movement in the duct 9 has gained considerable speed and the air pressure in the receiver did not exceed 3 MPa. Thus, the scavenging bore will occur not only with the em static air but due to the dynamic movement of air, which greatly improves the scavenging bore and increases heat dissipation.

When shooting the cooling device provides continuous purging of the barrel since the extraction of the cartridge case from the chamber, and disilane new cartridge into the chamber until the bullet does not close the air passage of the barrel. After this point, the air coming out of the receiver 7, the duct 9 will be grazed in the direction of the bottom of the cartridge, forcing the powder gases and products of combustion of gunpowder from the receiver, and thus to produce cooling of the bolt in the receiver and other parts inside the weapon.

Two exhaust valve 8, one of which is installed in the lower part of the cylinder 1 of the compressor and the other at the bottom of the receiver 7, necessary for water drainage, if the weapon was flooded with water. Clicking on these valve 8 is open and the water is drained.

The material from which it is possible to manufacture the piston 2, the cylinder 1 and the receiver 7 may be plastic that will not increase the weight of the weapon.

Cooling shafts by blowing air inside the barrel and possibly on the weapon with a folding butt. For this purpose, the shutter arms and the connecting rod compressor must have a quick-release connection, the connecting rod after separation of the shutter is diverted to the rear position and fixed the:.

Shooting from weapons and without forced cooling, as from an ordinary weapon, and you can include cooling if necessary.

On large-caliber machine guns and automatic guns piston compressor can be mounted along the axis of the bore, and the rod of the compressor is connected with a knob for distortion of the shutter.

Cooling gun barrels with barrel and the slide, wherein the set piston compressor, single pass or double pass, the rod of which one end movably connected with the bolt or bolt carrier, and the other end to the piston by means of a finger, and the receiver is connected to the exhaust valve of a cylinder of the compressor, air receiver is directed into the cartridge chamber of the barrel.
