Method of determining damage of mountain valley by mudslide Method of determining damage of mountain valley by mudslide / 2519807
In the method, damage is evaluated from absence of trees and shrubs at the bottom of a valley and the presence of native old-age tree strata on upper-lying slopes. Later - from the presence, at the bottom of the valley, of even-age, young trees and shrubs, and subsequently, with aging thereof, - from the numerical dominance of trees in the old age group over any other age group; and from the presence of mass damage to the bark and woody tissue on trunks of trees growing on the foot of the slop of the valley. The width of the zone of damage of the valley is measured from the distance between peripheral damaged trees on the cross-section of the valley; the height of damage on the valley sides is measured from the top level of damages on tree trunks. The date of the disaster is determined using the formula: n=n2-n1, where: n is the number of annual rings which corresponds to the number of years since the valley was damaged by the mudslide; n2 is the number of annual rings on a radius passing through undamaged parts of the tree trunk; n1 is the number of annual rings on a radius passing through the damaged area of the tree trunk.

Invention relates to the field of ecology, in particular the assessment of mountain slope lands, and may find application in the appraisal of mountain meadows. The method comprises an assessment of the territory by the presence of legumes components. At that during vegetation in areas of mountain slopes the distribution of leguminous perennial grass with creeping-rooted system is measured, such as white clover - Trifolium repens, inconstant clover - Trifolium ambigum, creeping crown vetch - Carolina varia, licorice-leaf astragalus - Astragalus glycyphyllos, angular astragalus - Astragalus waldstetkit. Then the area occupied by these plants is measured. In the presence of the amount of creeping-rooted plants of more than 10% the land is located in a favourable environmental condition. In case of reduction in the area of the amount of legumes components of less than 10% the mountain slopes are improved by seeding grasses of the said species.

FIELD: agriculture.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to agriculture, in particular to methods of determining the mass loss of beet roots. The method comprises sampling and measuring the diameter of each root. On the plantation the sample of intact roots is first taken and their form factor is found. Then from the heap of the harvested beet roots a randomised sample is taken, it is weighed, from the ratio of m=0.26D [D2+(k-0.5)(D2+D+1)], where m is the mass of a single root crop in the absence of damage, g; D is diameter of root, cm; k is the form factor of the root, k=L/D; where L is the length of intact root, cm. The mass of each root crop is found in the absence of damage, and also the mass of the entire sample, according to which difference with the mass of the weighted sample the loss is determined.

EFFECT: possibility is provided to determine the mass loss of beet root with a high degree of reliability with the simpler and less time consuming method.

The invention relates to agriculture, in particular to methods for determination of loss of mass beet used in assessing the quality of harvesting, such as sugar beet, and quality of sugar beet harvesters.

The known method of determination of loss of mass of beet during cleaning by restoring the damaged roots of beet slices to the original volume, followed by weighing the mass destined for recovery (as the USSR №318368, A01G 7/00).

The disadvantage of this method is the high complexity of determining losses.

Also known method of determining weight loss beet from damage head and tail, according to which from the pile of harvested beet indonesiano take samples in the amount of 50-100 roots, each root of the sample, determine the maximum diameter, the diameter at the place of a cut of heads and break tail and losses determined from the relation

where: P is the mass loss of root, %;

D - maximum diameter of the screw, mm;

DG, WxH - diameter of the root respectively at the place of damage of the head and tail, mm

The average percentage of losses assess the quality of harvesting of roots (as the USSR №982591, A01G 7/00 - prototype).

The disadvantage of this method is the impossibility of determining weight loss root if the damage to his side and complexity of definition.

In the proposed method from the pile of harvested beet take a sample, weigh it and measure the diameter of each root, which is installed according to

m=0,26D[D 2 +(0,5)(D 2 +D+1)], where

m - the mass of a unit root in the absence of damage, g;

D - diameter of the root, cm;

K - coefficient of the form of root, K=L/L, where L is the length undamaged roots, cm;

I count it a lot, provided that no damage has been given the form factor and weight of such samples, and the loss is determined by the difference of the calculated and measured samples.

The method is as follows.

On the plantation of sugar beet take samples of intact root crops, and each they measure the length and diameter. The ratio of length to diameter determine the coefficient of the form of root crops. Then, from a pile of harvested beet indonesiano take samples from 50-100 roots for determining the loss from mechanical damage during harvesting, weigh it and each root measure the diameter. On the dependencies define weight of each root provided there are no damages and the sum total weight of such roots. Subtracting from the calculated mass of the mass-weighted sample, determine the losses.

Varieties and hybrids of sugar beet have a different shape: peg-shaped, wide-conical, oval-conical, so the factor of their shape allows to increase the accuracy of determining the mass of roots. Since this feature for each class, the hybrid is inherited and stable coefficient of the form practically does not depend on size characteristics of root, and is permanent. In this regard, to identify enough to take 5-10 any undamaged roots. The roots can take on plantations, removing them from the soil, with the subsequent cutting off the tops and leaving the tip of the tail with a diameter of 1 cm (requirement of GOST 17421-72 at acceptance beet) or from a pile of harvested beet.

To establish compliance with the given mass undamaged roots from its diameter and shape factor on plantations of sugar beet varieties Rodn took a sample of 10 undamaged roots and determined the coefficient of their shape, which amounted to 2,80 (2,78-2,83). Then took a sample of 53 undamaged roots, every beet weighed and measured its diameter. On the offered dependencies have determined the mass of each root. The results are presented in the table.

The actual and estimated weight intact root crop varieties Rodn when the aspect ratio 2,80.

As can be seen from the obtained data shows the dependence of the mass undamaged roots from its diameter based on the form factor allows to calculate potential root weight with high degree of reliability. Determination error - 0,52%. Therefore the accuracy of the determination of the loss will be the same high. This will be counted as losses from crop head and break tail and side damage. Way more simple and less time consuming, as measured diameter is carried out only in one place.

Method of determination of loss of mass beet from mechanical damages, including sampling and measuring the diameter of each root, wherein on the plantation take the first sample undamaged roots and find the coefficient of their form, and then from the pile of harvested beet - randomised trial, weigh it, from the relation m=0,26D [D 2 +(0,5)(D 2 +D+1)], where m is the mass of a unit root in the absence of damage, g; D - diameter of the root, cm; K - the coefficient of the form of root, K=L/L, where L is the length undamaged roots cm find weight of each root, provided there is no damage, and the mass of the entire sample, the difference of which from mass-weighted sample and determine loss
