According to the present invention, there are three main approaches to this filter:

in the preferred embodiment, the electret microphone is specially made with a narrow frequency characteristic corresponding to the frequency of vibrations created by the suction/retraction consumer of cigarettes. Typically, this frequency range is below 5 Hz, i.e. low enough to exclude the possibility of a false detection, as most of the noise caused by the environment, is above this frequency. This technical solution here is called mechanical filtration, as the mechanical properties of the vibrating element of the sensor device 24 are selected to narrow the frequency response. A complementary approach is the use of passive electrical filter, which filters out the selected frequency range, as for example, a conventional bandpass filter. Smoking material of incombustible type comprises aerosol-generating section, where aerosol is produced in process of heating, and a heater at the end of aerosol-generating section. Heater is arranged so that it is physically separated from aerosol-generating section for substantial heating of this section without ignition of aerosol-generating section.
