The invention relates to the automotive industry, namely, devices for monitoring the working condition of wear of the friction linings of the brake pads.

The prior art various devices and methods for determining the limit of wear of the friction linings of the brake pads, as a rule, they consist, mainly, in determining the maximum allowable wear visual way, and the indicator is difficult to apply; there is also sound, but there is a error in his bringing to the attention of the driver.

Known brake pad having a thickness greater than the limit of wear, including a working surface, two side surfaces and an index of the amount of wear pads, located on two sides of the side surfaces in the form of a sector with a flat base [Patent No. 40085 RF, MPK7F16D 65/08, publ. 27.08.2004,].

The disadvantage of this product is the need for visual inspection to determine the wear of the brake lining.

Known disk brake with advanced security, with the bracket, slide on a fork for pressing the friction brake pads to the brake disk comprising a wear indicator that contains the sensor control option, which outputs a signal in case of a deviation of the specified parameter from the norm [Patent No. 2128794 of the Russian Federation for invention IPC7F16D 66/02, publ. 27.07.1997,].

In such a brake receiving indication of wear is achieved by a complex design, but the system does not take into account the wear on the disk.

A device for monitoring the operational status, in particular for determining the wear of the friction brake lining with a built-in mechanism for regulation of the gap is designed to transmit the braking force from the brake cylinder and mounted to operate the brake Cam shaft. This device is applicable to pneumatic brake systems and has a complex structure.

The closest in technical essence and the achieved result is friction products containing frame, a friction element made of a polymer composite material, means of signaling the wear of the friction element is made in the form of the underlying layer friction lining with discrete included particles of material, creating a sound effect when the friction on metal surfaces [Patent No. 2270945 of the Russian Federation for invention IPC7F16D 69/09, 66/02, publ. 27.02.2006,].

The disadvantage of this device is that the sound can be recognized while driving because the road is noise, so it is also possible misinterpretation of sound during operation.

The task of the invention was to create a technical solution that involves simultaneously informing the driver about limiting the wear of the brake lining both audible and visual signal in the vehicle.

The technical result of the proposed use of the invention consists, primarily, in improving the safety car preexploitation, because at the moment of maximum permissible wear of the brake linings in the interior of the car is instantaneous, simultaneous turning on the light and sound alarm.

The technical result is achieved in that the device driver information about the maximum wear of the brake lining includes brake drum, brake pad with double-layer friction lining, equipped with a conductive layer, which is key circuit connected through a current collector with sound and light alarm and located at a distance corresponding to the maximum permissible wear of the friction linings.

Figure 1 shows the device driver information about the maximum wear of the brake linings, containing the drum 6, a brake pad (not labeled)that contains the base 1, two-ply friction pad, one of which layers 2 has a thickness equal to the maximum allowable wear of the pads, and the second 7 (main working layer brake pads) is separated from the first conductive layer 9, which is key circuit deposited on the adhesive substrate (insulation from the external environment) and consisting of a powdered electrically conductive material, through which the current collector 8 is electrically connected with 3 light 4 and the sound 5 alarms wear. Indicator light installed is a red or orange light on the dashboard within line of sight of the driver, and audible warning device is installed at the left top edge of the windshield or rear view mirror, if any.

Brake pad works as follows.

When the second wear brake pads 7 to the limit value (opens conductive layer (9) a braking torque when pressed on the brake pedal is contact conductive layer 9 with the brake drum of the vehicle 6 and instantly closes the electrical circuit (see figure 2) wear indicators, which accordingly serves light and sound warning signals to the driver. In connection with the duplication of the signal and the location of the detectors in the vehicle incorrect interpretation of sound and light displays, and also increases the reliability of the display system. Because the conductive layer 9 napalan on the entire surface of the separation of the first 2 and the second 7 parts brake pads, the wear indicator will happen and when it is uneven.

Figure 2 presents the electrical circuit of the indicator, consisting of a battery of the vehicle 10, the wear indicators 4;5, the current collector 8 and the electric key 11, representing the deposited conductive layer and the brake drum.

The application of this brake pads will increase the level of safety kit is La during its operation, as well as helping to reduce operating costs by instantly determining the exact moment of occurrence of the limit of wear of the brake linings. The technical solution was used in the prototype (installed on VAZ-21053). Research brake pads showed the following results (see table).
