SUBSTANCE: invention relates to bicycles comprising reciprocating foot pedals. Frame 1 comprises guides 2, 3 accommodating carriages 4, 5 with pedals 6, 7 that may be locked, and carriage 22 with seat 23. Rear drive wheels 8, 9 are provided with tapered blocks 14, 18 that have helical flutes with variable radius for cables 20, 21 coupled with carriages 4, 5. Backrest 25 thrusting on roller 26 secured to frame 1 is articulated with seat 24. To shift gears, seat 23 is moved along guides 2, 3. Note here that cables 20, 21, winding or unwinding, move to helical flute sections with required radius and appropriate gear ratio. To allow boat-racing motion to load hand, back and belly muscles, retainer 32 of seat 23 is disengaged from guides 2, 3.

EFFECT: increased gear ratio in streamlined horizontal position and reduced gear ratio for uphill climbing and heavy road.

Known vehicle with a muscular drive that contains the frame, driving the rear wheels driven front wheel, mounted in bearings of the frame, a rotary guide consisting of two rails mounted carriages with handles associated with the rotation of the fork of the front wheel, and two guides for the carriages with supports for the legs, and the movement of the carriages with handles and foot rests for kinematically connected to drive the rear wheels (see inventor's certificate SU 1017580. Lukyanov S. 11.01.82.).

However, this vehicle does not allow switching speed.

Known vehicle with a muscular drive reciprocating movement of the pedals, containing two guides mounted carriages with foot rests for running blocks with wound flexible rods, and axis units are displaced parallel to the axis of the block and is positioned outside the contour of the groove of the block. Thrust its other end wound on blocks with spiral grooves which are connected with the shafts of the driving wheels through the freewheel.

The bike with the linear actuator with pedaling and rowing movement includes a frame 1 made in the form of rails 2 and 3 for the carriages 4 and 5 with foot rests for 6 and 7. The block 14 is wound the cable 20, which has its other end connected with the carriage 4. The block 18 is wound the cable 21, which has its other end connected with the carriage 5. On the guides 2 and 3 with the carriage 22 with the seat 23, to which the hinge 24 is attached backrest 25, which is supported by the roller 26 attached to the frame 1. The lever 33 and its other end connected with a pin 35 mounted in the guide sleeve 36 on the carriage 22. The lever 33 is connected with the carriage 22 by a spring 37. Guide 3 is equipped with a number of holes 38, one of which interacts with a pin 35, thereby fixing seat 23 on the guides 2 and 3.

To the frame 1 by a hinge axis 39 mounted in bearings 40, attached to the wheel 41 with arms 42 and 43, covering the seat 23 on the sides. The wheel 41 is connected with the fork 11 ball joint 44, 45 and thrust ball joint 46.

The block 14 is attached to the block 46, on which is wound the cable 47, which is connected with one end of a rubber strap 48, thrown over b is OK 49, attached to the frame 1.

The block 18 is attached to the block 50, on which is wound the cable 51, which is connected to the other end of the rubber strap 48. To switch the speed of the driver by the handles 42 and 43 causes the movement of the seat along the guide rails 2 and 3, the cables 20 and 21 move on to other areas of the spiral grooves, more remote or more approximate from the axis of rotation of the blocks 14 and 18. Then he stoparic seat 23 of the stopper 32 on the guides 2 and 3.

With more horizontal streamlined landing automatically increases the gear ratio of the transmission. And with more vertical landing, which is needed when climbing uphill and difficult road conditions, decreases.
