Conveyor flights consisting of rigid 3-to-12 m-long articulated links are spaced apart. Note that lower flights accommodate roller supports. Drive shafts are made from 20 mm-dia thick-wall 300-to-600 mm-dia tube supporting preset number of driven sprockets corresponding to that of distributed smooth-start drives with hydraulic synchronisation of forces.
