SUBSTANCE: sewing machine needle consists of a shank, a thread passage groove, faces, ribs, an eye and point of the needle, which is made in the form of a triangular pyramid with the bottom made in the form of an equilateral triangle. At that, side ribs of the pyramid are made in the form of a tractrix-shaped concave curve, or its faces are concave.

EFFECT: reducing material deformation and increasing needle service life.

The invention relates to light industry and is designed for sewing machines for processing of products from natural and artificial leather.

Known needle sewing machine designed for sewing leather material and having a pointed lower end, a great groove and a short groove for the passage of yarn, the cross section of the tip of the needle is an equilateral triangle [1].

However, the needle does not have sufficient ability to smoothly pass through the material, which leads to deformation of the material when performing technological operations.

As a prototype single needle sewing machine designed for sewing leather material and having a pointed lower end, a great groove and a short groove for the passage of the thread. The cross-section of the tip of the needle is an equilateral triangle. Faces edges have a convex shape. The needle moves in a reciprocating [2].

However, the rib needles have a convex shape, so when passing through the material needle experiencing increased friction and, consequently, increased the uneven wear and heat, which negatively affects the durability.

The technical result of the claimed invention is to reduce the deformation of the material with simultaneous increase of the service life of the needle accounts for the use of evidence-based form of the tip of the needle, for which the wear on the friction surfaces is distributed evenly over the entire height.

This technical result is achieved by the fact that the needle of a sewing machine containing the flask, the groove for the passage of yarn, faces, ears and the tip, according to the invention, the tip has the shape of a pyramid with a base in the form of either an equilateral triangle, with its lateral edges made in the form of tracesources a concave curve, or an equilateral triangle with concave sides.

Analytical determination of the optimal working of the profile edges (faces) of the tip force was based on obtaining a profile of the vertical section of the tip of the needle, which would satisfy the condition of uniform wear (1) [3]. The needle consists of a bulb 1, the grooves for the passage of thread 2 running along the needle, eyelet for threading the thread 3, the short groove 4, edges and 5 faces 6 and point 7, while the tip has the shape of a pyramid with a base in the form of either an equilateral triangle, with its lateral edges made in the form of tracesources a concave curve, or an equilateral triangle with concave sides.
