Curved portion of rod is characterized by following parameters: distance from chord to point of arc-shaped curved portion maximally remote from chord is 1-6 mm. Sewing needle of such design enables easy and successful execution of work connected with putting of thread into needle eyelet by weak-sighted people.

The invention relates to sewing needles for hand sewing and is intended primarily for people with impaired vision.

In everyday life is widely used hand sewing needle in the form of a metal rod, one end is pointed and the other end made eyelet for fastening thread. For persons with impaired vision inserting and threading the thread through a small hole in the eye of this needle is quite difficult manipulation.

Known hand-sewing needle, consisting of a rod, one end is pointed and the other longitudinally split with the formation of the open end of the slot. A rod equipped with the possibility of axial movement of the sleeve serving for the information of the walls of the slot and clamping therein the end portion of the thread [EN 2098529 C1, 10.12.1997].

The disadvantage of this needle is the relative complexity of its design and manufacture. The presence of ledges formed by the end face of the sleeve and a stop on the side walls of the slot, which hampers the movement of the needle through the puncture in the stitched fabric. In addition, you must have pretty good eyesight to set the thread into the slot on strictly along the axis of the needle.

Known hand-sewing needle, consisting of a rod, one end is pointed and the other end is an ear. Hand sewing needle according to patent DE 801001 considered as a prototype for the claimed invention.

The technical result of the invention is to adapt the design of hand sewing needles limited functionality for visually impaired people, which allows to simplify the procedure associated with the introduction of the thread into the eye of a needle. Another technical result of the claimed invention consists in expanding Arsenal of hand sewing needles.

This technical result is achieved due to the fact that hand-sewing needle, consisting of a rod, one end is pointed and the other end is an ear mutually spring-loaded side cheeks and slit, ending with a wedge-shaped extension at the end of the needle, the bar is curved curved, and the incision of the eye is located in the plane of the arcuate bending of the rod.

Hand sewing needle consists of a rod 1 (1-4) with weak arcuate bend, one end of which the CSOs pointed, and at the other end there is a single (not shown) or double eyelet 2 with mutually spring-loaded side cheeks 3 (1) and section 4, ending in a wedge-shaped extension (notch) 5 at the end of the needle. Then the ring finger and little finger of the left hand end niti fixed on the Palmar surface, and held with the right hand the other, loose plot threads leading into the wedge-shaped extension 5. Then the thumb of the right hand on top of jam on the thread 6 and that has passed through the slit 4, is in the eye 2. Spring-loaded cheeks 3 loops completing the section, preventing the release thread. Since under the above conditions, the eye of the needle is clearly oriented in space, even visually impaired people under the control of touch without any difficulty easily deals with the procedure for inserting the thread into the eye hand sewing needles. Weak arcuate bending of the needle does not cause any inconvenience in the process of sewing.

The invention allows visually impaired people more confidently and successfully complete the procedure associated with the introduction of the thread into the eye hand sewing needles. In addition, the present invention allows to expand the Arsenal of tools for sewing by hand.
