FIELD: printing industry; production of the thermographic printers.

SUBSTANCE: the invention is pertaining to the thermographic printers. The printing device uses the consumable material providing the image carrying tape and the carrying tag containing the information on the parameters identifying at least one template suitable for the label printing on the image carrying tape. At that the printing device contains: the printing device for image printing; the tag readout tool made with the capability to receive the indicated information on the template from the tag through the non-contact connection in the form of the electromagnetic waves; and the processor made with the capability to receive the indicated information on the template and to control the operation of the printing device for printing of the label according to the at least one indicated template. The printing device also uses the consumable material providing the substrate carrying a set of the beforehand formed labels. The printing device may have the display. The printing device may use the consumable material containing the material of the thermal transition and the carrying tag containing the information on the parameters identifying the properties of the thermal transition material. The technical field to which the invention relates.

This invention relates to the provision of information on the consumable materials in the context of thermal printers.

The level of technology

Thermal printers are widely known and usually contain a printing medium containing thermally activated print head for printing on the image carrier tape. In the US 5605404 (Seiko Epson) disclosed a tape cartridge, made with the possibility of interaction with thermal transfer printer, when the tape cartridge is performed on a single chip microprocessor, which stores information about the tape cartridge. The invention

Detailed description of the invention

Below is a description of the mechanical system of the printing device with reference to Fig.1-4. The substrate for the label contains the tape 2 on which you can print the image using the printing device, which is the substrate for labels. Cassette 8 ink ribbon is located in the printing device so that the ink ribbon 4 is a path passing through the print zone 3 and, in particular, by imposing on the tape 2 between the printhead 16 and the supporting roller 18. The support roller 18 is driven by an electric motor 56 bearing roller for posting the ribbon through the print zone.

The cutting device 40 is located on the stream for the print area 3. The cutting device includes a circular cutting knife or cutting wheel 44 mounted on the holder 54 of the cutter. The blade 44 cuts the tape 2 on the anvil 52. The motor 42 of the cutter results in movement of the cutting wheel 44 from the position of rest across the width of the tape. Figure 5 schematically shows a block diagram of the control components of the printing device. The microprocessor 100 controls the operation of the printing device and connected with a permanent storage device 102, electrically erasable programmable permanent memory 114 and memory 104. In a printing device provided by the device 110 to read/write tags. RFID tags 70, 71 are passive devices, which take energy from the device 110 read/write tags in contact with him.

The device 110 read/write tag is located in the printer so that it can read signals from or write information to the tag 70, 71, even when they are not in the same place. The processing unit 202 of the radio frequency identification data is switched between the transceivers 204, 206, depending on what tag should write or read data.

SUBSTANCE: the invention is pertaining to the thermographic printers. The printing device uses the consumable material providing the image carrying tape and the carrying tag containing the information on the parameters identifying at least one template suitable for the label printing on the image carrying tape. At that the printing device contains: the printing device for image printing; the tag readout tool made with the capability to receive the indicated information on the template from the tag through the non-contact connection in the form of the electromagnetic waves; and the processor made with the capability to receive the indicated information on the template and to control the operation of the printing device for printing of the label according to the at least one indicated template. Usage of the tag on the consumable material allows do not use the microprocessor on the tape cassette and to transmit the information without losses, and also ensures the recording of the changeable information back in the store and to introduce the information with the high density.
