The frontal edge and contact zone gives frontal edge attachment to the internal surface of the applicator base. The back edge contact zone gives back edge attachment to the internal surface of the applicator base.

The present invention relates to a device for applying pads on a given surface.

Although now described various kinds of devices for applying labels, there are various problems associated with their use, see, for example, U.S. patentsâ„–4913138, 5106629, 5397297, 5511689, 5656282, 5685833, 5891078, 6129929 and the publication WO 98/17216 of the international application. Many of these devices, for example, when applying stickers leads to the twisting of the stickers or sticking to it to overlap on a given surface. Another problem with many devices for the application is that the user is forced to touch the surface of the label when applying. This is especially problematic if the overlay should be sterile or contains an adhesive surface. Such contact or contaminate the pad, or reduces its stickiness.

In this area there are devices for applying one-sided plates, which, as described, minimize user interaction, which should touch the surface of the lining. However, many of these devices have a ledge imposed on the element that overlaps a removable element. This design makes it difficult for the user to grip the protrusion and retraction of the overlay element with a removable element. Other devices imposing unilateral overlays require the comfort of the user gripping the overlay element in one place removal of overlay item with the receding element, and then capture the overlay element in a different location to overlay pads on a given surface. Shown in figures 1-3, the device 20 for applying pads on a given surface according to the present invention includes an essentially flat base 32 of the applicator, the blend is essentially a flat plate 44 and essentially flat removable base 24. The base 32 of the applicator includes gripping means in the form in the stupa 36, passing out. The base 32 of the applicator also includes an inner surface 48. Preferably the leading edge 46 is from about 1% to about 45%, more preferably from about 10% to about 30% of the total peripheral side edges 45 of the pads 44.

Similarly, the contact area 42 of the rear edge attaches to the rear edge 47 to the inner surface 48 of the framework 32 of the applicator, when removed, the base 24 is removed with a combination of 95. The rear edge 47 does not require connection with the contact region 42 of the rear edge (as shown in the first embodiment of the present invention). Preferably the rear edge 47 preferably contains from about 1% to about 50%, more is preferably from about 10% to about 35% of the total peripheral side edges 45 of the pads 44. In the first embodiment, a front edge 46 of the lining is diagonal relative to the rear edge 47 of the pads. Similarly, in the first embodiment, the contact area 41 of the front edge is diagonal relative to the contact area 42 of the rear edge.

Loose flange 48 forms part of the peripheral side edges 45 of the plates 44, which are not attached adhesive contact area. Preferably loose edge is from about 5% to about 95%, more preferably from about 40% to about 80% of the total peripheral side edges 45 of the pads 44.

By attaching the leading edge 46 and trailing edge 47 of adhesive contact area provides sweeping pads 44 on a given surface without twisting of the plates 44 and without the need for the user to touch the pads 44. Preferably the contact area 46 of the leading edge is an area of 0.1 cm2to 4000 cm2, more preferably from 0.4 cm2up to 2 cm2. Preferably the contact area 42 of the rear edge is an area of 0.1 cm2up to 4500 cm2, more preferably from 0.4 cm2up to 2.5 cm2.

Figure 3 presents a top view of the combination of 195 second variant implementation of the invention after removal of a removable base (not shown in figure 3). As can be seen from figures 1 and 2, the applicant also found that if the contact area 41 of the leading edge and the contact area 42 of the rear edges have a sinusoidal pattern, as shown in the first embodiment of the invention, there is great tolerance for manufacturing variations. Used herein, the expression "industrial species" means those species that occur at many stages of mass production of devices according to the present invention, such as, but not limited to, the size of the group of pads 44 on the adhesive region 40. The actual force detachment can be measured by using a tester compression (Instron) or friction tester/detachment (Thwing Albert).

Figure 4 schematically illustrates the method of making it through the device application. Other factors that affect the strength of the connection and, therefore, the power connections include, but are not limited to: the number and type of adhesive, the type of materials used and their flexibility, the size and thickness of each layer and the amount of force used to merge layers when creating a device.

Under suitable for use adhesives understood in the broadest sense, any of the adhesive means. Non-limiting examples of adhesives include the following elements: zipper, Velcro, adhesives based on resins, latex, thermoreceptive, thermoplastic adhesives, acrylics, vinyl acetates, natural and synthetic rubbers, natural and synthetic rubber, polysiloxanes, polyacrylates, copolymers of ethylene and vinyl acetate, polyvinylpyrrolidone, vinylpyrrolidone copolymers and, in particular, vinylpyrrolidone/vinylacetate, copolymers of styrene blocks, natural or synthetic polysaccharides, cellulose materials, and mixtures thereof.

In one embodiment, the adhesive means is weakly measurable adhesive, which is applied on the first surface of the base of the applicator so that when the lining is removed from the base of the applicator, essentially all of the first adhesive means ostaa the SJ on the basis of the applicator. In another embodiment, the adhesive means is a double-sided high-strength/nizkoprobnoe adhesive tape, which has high strength side attached to the inner surface of the base of the applicator. Non-limiting examples of high-strength/nizkoplotnykh adhesives include examples from ZM, sold under the trademark "9415" and "9416". Under suitable for use with materials understood in the broadest sense, the basis of the applicator pad and remove the base. In one embodiment, the base of the applicator is a film of polyester. In another embodiment, the pad is made of polyurethane film. In another embodiment, the removable base is made of polyester, cemented by silica.

Flexibility affects stratifying connection. In turn, the type of material and its thickness determine flexibility. The size of each layer of the device may vary. Preferably the base of the applicator has an area of 1 cm2up to 5000 cm2, more preferably from 25 cm2up to 40 cm2. Preferably the adhesive region has an area of 0.5 cm2up to 4800 cm2, more preferably from 5 cm2up to 20 cm2. Preferably the pad has an area of 0.5 cm2up to 4800 cm2, more preferably from 5 cm2up to 28 cm2. Preferably removed the base has an area of 1 cm2up to 5000 cm2, more preferably from 25 cm2up to 40 cm2.

The amount of force used to combine layers in the manufacture of the present device 20 affects the force of separation. Preferably the unifying force is from about 1 KPa to 175 KPa, more preferably from about 5 KPa to 40 KPa.
